ድሆችን እናስብ ዘንድ ብቻ ለመኑን፥ ይህንም ደግሞ ላደርግ ተጋሁ።
only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which i also was forward to do.

ቀን ሳለ የላከኝን ሥራ ላደርግ ይገባኛል፤ ማንም ሊሠራ የማይችልባት ሌሊት ትመጣለች።
i must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.

ነገር ግን በጎነትህ በፈቃድህ እንጂ በግድ እንዳይሆን፥ ሳልማከርህ ምንም እንኳ ላደርግ አልወደድሁም።

then said i, lo, i come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, o god.

ቀጥሎ። እነሆ፥ አምላኬ ሆይ፥ ፈቃድህን ላደርግ መጥቼአለሁ ብሎአል። ሁለተኛውንም ሊያቆም የፊተኛውን ይሽራል።
then said he, lo, i come to do thy will, o god. he taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
