and many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

Եւ Աբրահամն ասաց. «Նրանք ունեն Մովսէս եւ մարգարէներ, թող նրա՛նց լսեն»:
abraham saith unto him, they have moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Դրա համար Աստծու իմաստութիւնն ասաց. նրանց մէջ մարգարէներ եւ առաքեալներ կ՚ուղարկեմ, եւ նրանցից ոմանց պիտի սպանեն եւ հալածեն,
therefore also said the wisdom of god, i will send them prophets and apostles, and some of them they shall slay and persecute:

որովհետեւ սուտ քրիստոսներ եւ սուտ մարգարէներ պիտի ելնեն եւ մեծամեծ նշաններ ու զարմանալի գործեր պիտի ցոյց տան՝ Աստծու ընտրեալներին անգամ մոլորեցնելու աստիճան, եթէ հնար լինի:
for there shall arise false christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.

Դրա համար ահա ես ձեզ մօտ ուղարկում եմ մարգարէներ, իմաստուններ ու օրէնսգէտներ. նրանցից ոմանց դուք պիտի սպանէք եւ խաչը պիտի հանէք. նրանցից ոմանց էլ պիտի տանջէք ձեր ժողովարաններում ու քաղաքից քաղաք պիտի հալածէք,
wherefore, behold, i send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

Ասում եմ ձեզ, որ բազում մարգարէներ եւ թագաւորներ կամեցան տեսնել այն, ինչ դուք տեսնում էք, բայց չտեսան, եւ լսել՝ ինչ դուք լսում էք, բայց չլսեցին»:
for i tell you, that many prophets and kings have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Ճշմարիտ եմ ասում ձեզ, որ շատ մարգարէներ ու արդարներ ցանկացան տեսնել, ինչ որ դուք տեսնում էք, բայց չտեսան, եւ լսել՝ ինչ որ դուք լսում էք, բայց չլսեցին»:
for verily i say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

- Վա՜յ ձեզ, երբ որ բոլոր մարդիկ լաւ խօսեն ձեր մասին, որովհետեւ նրանց հայրերը սուտ մարգարէներին այդպէս էին անում:
