but he giveth more grace. wherefore he saith, god resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
ነገር ግን ጸጋን አብልጦ ይሰጣል፤ ስለዚህ። እግዚአብሔር ትዕቢተኞችን ይቃወማል፥ ለትሑታን ግን ጸጋን ይሰጣል ይላል።

whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of god: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.
ስለዚህ ባለ ሥልጣንን የሚቃወም የእግዚአብሔርን ሥርዓት ይቃወማል፤ የሚቃወሙትም በራሳቸው ላይ ፍርድን ይቀበላሉ።

this , because they have resisted allah and his apostle ; and whosoever resisteth allah and his apostle , then verily allah severe in retribution .
ይህ እነርሱ አላህንና መልክተኛውን ስለተቃወሙ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህንና መልክተኛውንም የሚቃወም ሁሉ አላህ ቅጣቱ ብርቱ ነው ፡ ፡

allah did aforetime take a covenant from the children of israel , and we appointed twelve captains among them . and allah said : " i am with you : if ye ( but ) establish regular prayers , practise regular charity , believe in my messengers , honour and assist them , and loan to allah a beautiful loan , verily i will wipe out from you your evils , and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath ; but if any of you , after this , resisteth faith , he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude . "
አላህም የእስራኤልን ልጆች የጠበቀ ቃል ኪዳን በእርግጥ ያዘባቸው ፡ ፡ ከነርሱም ዐስራ ሁለትን አለቆች አስነሳን ፡ ፡ አላህም አላቸው ፤ « እኔ ከናንተ ጋር ነኝ ፤ ሶላትን ብታስተካክሉ ግዴታ ምጽዋትንም ብትሰጡ በመልክተኞቼም ብታምኑ ብትረዱዋቸውም ለአላህም መልካም ብድርን ብታበድሩ ኀጢአቶቻችሁን ከናንተ በእርግጥ አብሳለሁ ፡ ፡ ከሥሮቻቸው ወንዞች የሚፈሱባቸውን ገነቶችም በእርግጥ አገባችኋለሁ ፡ ፡ ከዚህም በኋላ ከእናንተ የካደ ሰው ቀጥተኛውን መንገድ በእርግጥ ተሳሳተ ፡ ፡ »
