É organizada ao nível da união uma experiência temporária para avaliar se a produção, com vista à comercialização, e a comercialização, sob certas condições, de sementes de populações, como referidas no artigo 2.o, pertencentes às espécies avena spp., hordeum spp., triticum spp. e zea mays l. podem constituir uma melhor alternativa à exclusão da comercialização de sementes não conformes com os requisitos do artigo 2.o, n.o 1, letras e, f e g, da diretiva 66/402/cee relativos a aspetos varietais das sementes de certas espécies e com os requisitos do artigo 3.o, n.o 1, relativos à colocação no mercado com certificação oficial como «sementes certificadas», «sementes certificadas de primeira geração» ou «sementes certificadas de segunda geração».
