e successo nel 1979, come ho detto, ho cominciato ad ascoltare musica ska, mi piacquero subito certi grandi ritmi di questa musica, li ho trovati molto interessanti ed ho pensato che con la musica punk avevo definitivamente chiuso; non riuscivo più a trovarci qualcos altro da fare, l avevo suonata per anni, con gente diversa, gruppi diversi e non riuscivo più a trovare nuove direzioni con la musica punk cercavo qualcosa di nuovo, nuovi stimoli e la musica ska, la prima volta che l ho ascoltata, ho pensato: wow! devo fare qualcosa del genere!
i started listening to ska music and i love those rhythms. they were interesting and i realized that i had to quit doing punk rock stuff; i had no ideas about punk music. i’ve been playing that stuff for years, with different people and in different bands, but then, i realized i couldn’t find anything new in it anymore… i was looking for something new, new groove, and the first time i listened to ska, i found myself saying: wow! i have to do something like that!
