nepal is one of the smallest but the most beautiful country, located in southern asia. i am proud to say that i am nepali. nepal is located in the himalayas and is home to eight of the world's ten tallest mountains, including mount everest, the highest point on earth. nepal has a diverse ancient cultural heritage. gautama, the founder of buddhism, was born in lumbini in southern nepal. the main minorities are tibetan buddhists, muslims, kiratans and christians. the nepalese are also known as gurkhas. they have been reputed for their valour in world war i and world war ii. it is rich in natural beauty and resources. it has long and wide rivers like koshi, gandaki, and karnali. we have large lakes like rupa, begnas, and rara etc. like-wise we have green valleys, lovely water falls etc. it is rich in religious and historical heritages. lumbini, gorkha, janakpur, kathmandu are the famous examples. people of many castes and religions leave here. about hundred languages are spoken. our popular foods are dal bhat, dhindo, gundurk etc. dashain, tihar,losar,id etc. are the most popular festivals. they observe these festivals very happily. most people are farmers. they grow rice, corn, wheat,millet,barley,potato etc. some people in the cities are businessmen. some have industries. they are very laborious and polite.due to the reach in natural resources, tourists love to visit your country. they can see endangered birds and animals here. they can see natural beauty, too. so tourism is our potential industry. it has three geographical regions with variety of climatic conditions in a short distance. due to climatic variations, we can find thousands species of wild animals and plants. nepal has the densest concentration of world heritage sites. kathmandu valley alone has 7 world heritage cultural sites within a radius of 15 kilometers. the nepali flag is the only nation with non-quadrilateral flag.the two triangles symbolize the himalaya mountains and represent the two major religions, hinduism and buddhism. this is an amazing travelling destinations of the world. i am not exaggerating just because it’s my birthplace but it has the most beautiful monuments and naturally attracted places of the world. you can see the cultural diversity and learn about the way of living of different races of people.
