then the king ahasuerus answered and said unto esther the queen, who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so?
unya mitubag ang hari nga si assuero ug miingon kang ester, nga reina: kinsa ba siya, ug hain ba kadtong nagapagahi sa iyang kasingkasing aron sa pagbuhat niana?

and memucan answered before the king and the princes, vashti the queen hath not done wrong to the king only, but also to all the princes, and to all the people that are in all the provinces of the king ahasuerus.
ug si memucan mitubag sa atubangan sa hari ug sa mga principe: si vasthi nga reina wala masayup batok sa hari lamang, kondili sa tanan usab nga mga principe, ug sa tanang mga katawohan nga anaa sa mga lalawigan ni hari assuero.

and it was found written, that mordecai had told of bigthana and teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king ahasuerus.
ug hikaplagan sa nahisulat, nga si mardocheo nagsugilon mahitungod kang bigthan ug teres, duha sa mga sinaligan sa palacio sa hari, kadtong nagbantay sa bakanan, nga sila nagpaninguha sa pagbudhi kang assuero nga hari.

for this deed of the queen shall come abroad unto all women, so that they shall despise their husbands in their eyes, when it shall be reported, the king ahasuerus commanded vashti the queen to be brought in before him, but she came not.
