Do we want it to be a symbolic gathering of Assembly Members and sector representatives around a table , meeting to congratulate each other , nod , smile pleasantly and then go away -- which is how it too often feels at the moment -- or do we want it to be a real and serious forum for debate between the Assembly , the Assembly Government and the sector ? My view , and that of my party , is that we need it to be a real forum for debate , and some suggestions in the report -- though there are some other items that I would like to see added -- would help to make that a reality
