4.4 Bewijs van oorsprong De producenten beschikken over archiefstukken met daarin informatie over de leveranciers van de afzonderlijke grondstoffen voor de productie van "Lomnické Suchary" en over de kopers van eindproducten. Op ieder pak beschuit wordt behalve de verplichte informatie de naam en het adres van het hoofdkantoor van de producent vermeld.

4.4 Proof of origin Producers have records concerning the suppliers of the individual raw materials used to produce "Lomnické Suchary" and the purchasers of the finished products. In addition to the other mandatory information, each package displays the producer's name and head-office address.

De beschuiten zijn bedoeld voor rechtstreekse consumptie. "Lomnické suchary" worden gemaakt van gewone bloem, geraffineerde suiker, gehydrogeneerd vet, gist, melkpoeder en eidooierpoeder, kaneel, vanille, sinaasappel-of citroenschil en ontbitterde perziken-en abrikozenpitten. Eidooierpoeder kan worden vervangen door een hoeveelheid verse eidooiers die overeenkomt met de hoeveelheid droge stof. Gemalen hazelnoten, amandelen en pinda's worden respectievelijk aan het deeg voor de diverse afzonderlijke soorten beschuit toegevoegd. De beschuiten voor diabetici bevatten geen smaakstoffen; de suiker is er vervangen door sorbitol.

The rusks are intended for direct consumption. "Lomnické suchary" are made from plain wheat flour, refined sugar, hydrogenated fat, yeast, dried milk and dried egg yolks, cinnamon, vanilla, orange (lemon) peel and debittered peach and apricot kernels. Dried egg yolk can be replaced by a quantity of fresh egg yolks equivalent to the dry matter. Ground hazelnuts, almonds and peanuts respectively are added to the individual varieties. The diabetic rusks do not contain flavouring and sorbitol is substituted for sugar.

De beschuiten worden geproduceerd dankzij de kennis van de plaatselijke bevolking van Lomnice nad Popelkou, Vysoké nad Jizerou en Jablonec nad Jizerou in het district Semily. "Lomnické suchary" is een traditioneel product uit dit gebied, en van daaruit worden de beschuiten in vrijwel heel Tsjechië geleverd en verkocht. 4.6 Verband De "Lomnické suchary" zijn sinds de eerste helft van de negentiende eeuw in het betrokken gebied geproduceerd. Michal Jína heeft de productie van beschuiten in 1810 in Lomnice nad Popelkou gevestigd. In de tweede helft van de negentiende eeuw leverde die firma niet alleen aan heel Oostenrijk-Hongarije, maar ook aan andere Europese landen. "Lomnické suchary" won de Grand Prix bij de Wereldtentoonstelling van Parijs in 1927. In 1948 werd de firma genationaliseerd en werd de productie voortgezet door de onderneming Lomnický průmysl sucharů. In 1995 werd de firma Vekos opgericht, die de productie van "Lomnické suchary" weer ter hand nam volgens de traditionele recepten. De laatste jaren is een aantal kleinere producenten met de productie van "Lomnické suchary" volgens de traditionele recepten begonnen, bijvoorbeeld EGE IMPEX, Lomnické suchary s.r.o., en Ladislav Kodejška. In september 2005 is een vereniging van producenten van "Lomnické suchary" opgericht.

4.6 Link "Lomnické suchary" have been produced in the defined area since the first half of the nineteenth century. Michal Jína established the production of rusks in Lomnice nad Popelkou in 1810. In the second half of the nineteenth century, the firm supplied not only the whole of Austro-Hungary, but also other European countries. "Lomnické suchary" won the Grand Prix at the Paris World Exhibition in 1927. In 1948 the firm was nationalised and rusk production was continued by the establishment Lomnický průmysl sucharů. In 1995 the firm Vekos was set up, re-establishing the production of "Lomnické suchary" according to the traditional recipes. In recent years, a number of smaller producers manufacturing "Lomnické suchary" according to the traditional recipes have sprung up, e.g. VEKOS, EGE IMPEX, Lomnické suchary s.r.o., and Ladislav Kodejška. In September 2005 an association of "Lomnické suchary" producers was set up.
