Die "Direction Générale des Pêches et de l'Aquaculture (DGPA) du Ministère des Eaux et Forêts, de la Pêche, du Reboisement chargé de l'Environnement et de la Protection de la Nature" ist insbesondere für die Überwachung der ordnungsgemäßen Umsetzung der geltenden Rechtsvorschriften zuständig.

Danach ist Folgendes beabsichtigt: Die Unternehmen Veolia Transport ("Veolia Transport", Frankreich), das der Gruppe Veolia Environnement ("Veolia Environnement", Frankreich) angehört, und Butler Capital Partners ("BCP", Frankreich), das von Herrn Walter Butler kontrolliert wird, erwerben im Sinne des Artikels 3 Absatz 1 Buchstabe b der Verordnung des Rates die gemeinsame Kontrolle bei dem Unternehmen Société Nationale Corse Méditerranée ("SNCM", Frankreich) durch Aktienkauf.

On 21 April 2006, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 [1] by which the undertakings Veolia Transport ("Veolia Transport", France) belonging to the group Veolia Environnement ("Veolia Environnement", France) and Butler Capital Partners ("BCP", France) controlled by Mr. Walter Butler acquire within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation joint control of the undertaking Société Nationale Corse Méditerranée ("SNCM", France) by way of purchase of shares.
