Ņemot vērā šo rezultātu kopā ar publicētajiem datiem par nātrija salicilāta farmaceitisko kinētiku teļiem un būtiskas izmaiņas koncentrācijas līmeņos atsevišķām cūkām pēc terapijas2, reģistrācijas apliecību īpašniekiem būtu jāpierāda, ka pēc zāļu iekšķīgas lietošanas dzeramajā ūdenī izveidojas un saglabājas terapeitiski koncentrācijas līmeņi, kā arī jāiesniedz visa pieejamā informācija, kas varētu pamatot nātrija salicilāta posoloģiju un devas, lietojot iekšķīgi teļiem un cūkām, vienlaicīgi apspriežot šos datus.

Given this outcome together with published data on the pharmacokinetics of sodium salicylate in calves and significant variation in individual pig concentrations post treatment2, the MAHs should justify that therapeutic concentrations are established and maintained following oral use of the drug through water medication and submit all available data that could substantiate the posology and dosage regimen of sodium salicylate when given orally to calves and pigs, together with a thorough discussion of the these data.

Papildus tam pieteicējam tika pieprasīts pamatot piedāvāto devu un posoloģiju, raksturot nekaitīguma profilu, ieskaitot novēroto blakusparādību iztirzājumu, pamatot literatūras publikāciju nozīmīgumu, ņemot vērā to, ka citētajā literatūrā lietotā kompozīcija ar glikozamīna sulfātu (kompleksā ar nātrija hlorīdu) atšķiras no kompozīcijas apskatāmajā pieteikumā, kā arī to, vai atšķirības kompozīcijā izmainīs zāļu efektivitāti un nekaitīgumu, izskaidrot mijiedarbības iespējamību ar citām zālēm, un, beidzot, pierādīt glikozamīna hidrohlorīda pozitīvo riska/ ieguvuma profilu paredzētajai indikācijai.

In addition the applicant was asked to justify the proposed dose and posology, to characterise the safety profile, including a discussion of reported adverse drug reactions (ADRs), to justify the relevance of literature considering that the formulations of glucosamine sulphate (as the sodium chloride complex) used in the cited literature differ from the concerned application formulation and whether the differences in formulation will alter the efficacy and safety of the product, to elucidate the possibility of interactions with other medicinal products, and finally to show a positive risk/ benefit profile of glucosamine hydrochloride in the intended indication.
