2. In Vietnam, l'EBIC ha avuto un impatto positivo. Sebbene la proposta di finanziamento o la convenzione di finanziamento non definissero alcun obiettivo, nel quadro del progetto sono state registrate 1007 richieste di informazioni, 107 eventi/seminari, 5599 partecipanti e 315 articoli giornalistici. L'82% dei partecipanti si è dichiarato soddisfatto dei seminari e il 75% ha espresso un giudizio positivo sui servizi di informazione.

2. In Vietnam, EBIC had a positive impact. Although no targets were set in the Financing Proposal or Financing Agreement, the project dealt with 1007 enquiries, 107 events/seminars, 5599 registered participants, and 315 press reports. 82% of the participants were satisfied with the seminars and 75% were satisfied with the information services.

1. Per quanto riguarda l'EBIC in India, dai fascicoli della Commissione non risultava in modo chiaro quali controlli di monitoraggio fossero stati effettuati. Quanto all'EBIC in Vietnam, non vi era alcuna prova chiara di un monitoraggio da parte della Commissione, se si esclude una visita dei servizi centrali di quest'ultima nelle Filippine, in Tailandia, in Vietnam e in Cambogia.

1. For the EBIC in India it was not clear from the Commission’s files what monitoring had taken place. For the EBIC in Vietnam there was no clear evidence of monitoring by the Commission except for one visit from the Commission central services covering the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia.

2. In Asia, tutti i progetti EBIC (European Business Information Centre) hanno subito notevoli ritardi prima dell'inizio. Sono state necessarie lunghe trattative per ottenere l'approvazione del comitato ALA, poiché i rappresentanti degli Stati membri erano preoccupati per il ruolo degli EBIC rispetto alle sezioni commerciali delle rispettive ambasciate nazionali. 2. All European Business Information Centre (EBIC) projects in Asia suffered major delays before starting. Getting approval from the ALA Committee involved lengthy negotiations, as Member State representatives had concerns over the role of the EBICs compared with the commercial sections of their national embassies. Both in India and in Vietnam there were further delays while problems with the legal status of the EBIC were resolved.
