my hand reached out to touch the paper , my heart fell to my knees and the loud klonkig noise coming from her shoes was like a tiking bomb ready to make my head explode
my hand bereik uit die papier te raak, my hart op my knieë geval en die luide klonkig geraas uit haar skoene was soos 'tiking bom gereed te maak om my kop ontplof

My eyes are bright with excitement, I rush up to ice-cream stand, I smell all the vibrant flavours drifting in the humid and sticky air. Strawberry, chocolate and any other flavor you can imagine! I turn my view just in time to see a family of turtles burrow their way into the golden and soft sand, undisturbed and calm. At the end of the day, I am exhausted from the sun beating down at me and I virtually crawl back to my Mercedes, though I had an amazing day at the beach.
Mum,
You may be treated like the maid,
you may be treated like the gardner,
you may be treated like the daycare,
you may be treated like the chauffer,
you may be treated like many things.
But one thing is for sure,
You will always be loved.
For a fathers work may be from sun up till sundown,
but a mothers work is never down.
And all that I have, am, and hope to be, I owe to you,
So this is for all the times I forgot to say THANK YOU!!

goodafternoon sir and pupils, my topic today is on fashion. i believe that fashion plays an important role in the life of a teenager. teenagers find it comforting to be in the fashion. it builds self esteem and is extreamly exciting to keep up with the latest trends. however, it can also be an expensive hobby especially for the parents of the children. most children want to be in the fashion. personally i find shopping a joy. it relaxes me and allows me to spend time with my mother. my father thinks that shopping is just a waste of time.
Good Day,
The purpose of my letter to you is to address the following issue. My son plays for the schools senior Rugby Team. Since he was in primary school he always had the opportunity to represent the school in Rugby. During all of this time we as parents always advocated to him about playing the sport as a sport and always ensure he understood that winning is not everything and that he should never ever engage in any unfair play in order to win or in order to be the better player on the field.
My husband also plays a pivotal in the provincial Rugby union as well so I am sure you can understand where we are coming from. The past game played this is the game I wish to bring to you attention the total unfairness demonstrated on the field by the game referee. He was not being i’m partial but rather very on sided, an allowed the opposition team to have full advantage during most of the game. Blatant bad tackles as well as unfair play was most of the time not taken noticed of or purely dismissed. This type of behaviour cannot be good for the sport, and will give the youngsters the impression that it is ok to do this.
Please can you ensure that this matter is taken up with the correct channels within the Rugby board? We are not the least impressed on how the game was handled and we strongly feel that our son was at most times the victim and he was being he target for the day.
Your urgent assistance in this matter will be highly appreciated

1. SPOILT FOR HOLIDAYS
South Africa, a world in one country, with spectacular landscapes, natural beauty and a wide variety of sightseeing. We also have the second highest water fall in the world, the world’s biggest man-made urban forest, the world’s biggest green canyon ...and so much more.
2. NATURAL BEAUTY
South Africa has the oldest game reserve in Africa (Hluhluwe), on Table Mountain there are more plant species than the UK or New Zealand. At iSimangaliso you can view the biggest land mammal (elephant) , the oldest land mammal (rhino), the biggest sea mammal (blue whale), the oldest fish (coelacanth) and the most dangerous mammal (Hippo) all in the same reserve on the same day. All this and we have only mentioned three of the many, many reserves.
3. WORLD CLASS RANKING
The annual revenue generated by the tourism industry has now overtaken that of the gold industry. South Africa has won world awards in almost every category from various international organisations and readers including: world’s best hotel, world’s best game reserve, world’s favourite city, world’s best hotel, worlds most outstanding golf destination, world’s leading luxury train, world’s best family beach .... and so much more.
4. MINERAL WEALTH
South Africa has an abundance of mineral wealth. When comparing the world reserves South Africa is ranked #1 for the following: platinum (88% of world reserves), manganese (80%) Chrome (72%) Gold (40%) and Vanadium (32%). This translates to future economic potential and wealth for the country.
5. ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY
We have world class engineering and scientific technology. We have the world’s largest (and only) producer of liquid fuel from coal, the deepest mine in the world and the most commercialised nuclear reactor in the world. The third largest telescope in the world can be found in Sunderland.
6. ECONOMIC STABILITY
The countrys economic policies protected us from the global economic meltdown and meant that South Africa felt the impact significantly less than other countries. A recent survey by The Economist in the UK revealed that South Africa was the best performing housing market over the longer-term in the world.
7. EARNING POTENTIAL
In South Africa you have a higher earning potential and significantly more opportunities for growth and development. According to the ‘Hay Group’s World Pay Report’ which measures average disposable income, South African managers are amongst the top earners in the world – ahead of New Zealand, Canada, France, Denmark, Sweden and the UK. A recent survey of travel destinations revealed that South Africa was the cheapest city in the world to have beer, a coke or a meal for two...even with the wine.
8. SPORT
Not only do we have the number one ranked rugby and cricket side in the world, but we have top sportsmen in almost every other sport including, surfing, golf, athletics, sailing and swimming. The Comrades Marathon, the Dusi Canoe Race, the Midmar Mile and the Cape Argus are all the largest races of their kind in the world.
9. UNIQUE AND RICH CULTURES
We are a vibrant nation, a nation with a sense of humour and a determination to succeed. Our diversity ensures continual excitement and provides a richness to our culture and our heritage. We have our own music styles, our own dance styles – even our own movie industry. In fact at the 2010 Oscars we saw South Africa showcased with Charlize as a presenter, Morgan Freeman nominated in the South African story ‘Invictus’ and Johannesburg featured in District 9.
10. INTERESTING TIMES
As a South African we have contributed to making history. We can tell our children we lived in the times of Nelson Mandela and witnessed the miracle of the Rainbow Nation. We still face many challenges yet, over and over again, we have shown the world how we can overcome even the most difficult of situations. As South Africans we can each play a significant part in reaching our potential as a nation.

essayWishes these are something every person wishes came true it's something we know won’t happen but still do. If every ones wishes came true what would the world be like? i bet it would be full of billionaires and people who had everything they thought of but what fun would that be? no one would actually live life they would just wish it.my wishes are a little different but it’s what i think is right. if all my wishes came true there would be no wars no racial issues no reason to fight for what should be right there would be no reason for unnecassary deaths i would wish for world peace as my first because i feel every person has the right to live in peace ,love and care for everyone despite the colour of their skin or what they did in their past
another wish would be to be a billionaire but not spend what i have on myself but spend it on people who need it poor people, people who need homes people who need food and kids who need education i would be able to build homes for the needy feed them and clothe them and still have enough to live the life i want to,you probably ask yourself why i would do this for people i dont even know people that the world dont even notice, its because those people also have families they also need to live they weren’t born to suffer and i feel where you can help you should if you can then why not?
and my third would be to lead more people to christianity to help save souls so i know that one day when i reach my time i wont be the only one going to heaven but id be taking the world with me.i dont think theres anything wrong with other religion not at all i just believe that my god is the beginning and the end of all time and time to come.
and at the end of it all will come what my heart desires to marry the woman i love,to have a family of my own and to have a good job to give them all that they need.to me the fancy cars money gold and riches can wait its what matters that comes first.
I wasn't a clever kid by then, everyone made fun of me
I am in Yr11 and it has to be 3 min's or longer.
Imagine getting beating up everyday at school for no reason, by your classmate or maybe by some senior guy you don’t even know. Or maybe even by an adult. You come home in bruises and cuts and dried up blood. Can you imagine that?
Or if you are a girl imagine getting tease at everyday. People calling you names, mocking you because of your appearance and your background, you come home all sad and hurt inside. Can you imagine that?
Or can you even image getting punch at and getting pick at, calling you names in class and threatening texts every minute whether you are in class or at home and you’re friends wouldn’t help you out because they are too scared of the bully and the bully would followed you home and wouldn’t you feel scared. Can you imagine that? There are people who experience this in their day to day life.
When you bullied someone especially for a long time whether it is physical, verbal, social or cyber, it would make the person’s life very miserable and in some very bad cases it might lead to killing themselves because they just can't hand the pressure or the humiliation they face everyday. I am going to tell you about bullying and why I think it is bad to bully someone.
There are four types of bullying: Physical, Verbal, Cyber and Social. Physical bullying as you know is when the bully punches, kicks, hits or any other types of physical attacks. Then there is verbal bullying. Basically what verbal bullying is, when the bully uses words to hurt or humiliate you. Verbal bullying includes names callings, racist’s comments and insulting. Social bullying is when the bully is spreading rumours, ignoring or even rejecting you. Social bullying is a strange type of bullying because it kinda links with verbal bullying. Finally there is cyber bullying. Cyber bullying is when you are threatened, humiliated, harassed by the bully using the internet. There is no limitation of cyber bullying because there is so many things you could do in the internet to cyber bully. You could get cyber bullied in facebook, bebo, msn etc or in some cases, the bullies can cyber bully you by making a website just for you. Also the thing with cyber bullying is that it is a new type of bullying because if you go back 50 years, there wouldn’t be any internet, or any mobile phone, therefore no cyber bullying.
Personally I think that physical bullying is the least dangerous type of bullying because when you get physical bullied there will be scars or marks and your parents will know that you have been bullied where as in verbal, cyber, social there is no scar or marks and your parents wouldn’t know you have been bullied. Also when you get physical bullied you know your injures will heal where as in verbal, cyber, social you wouldn’t know when it will go away. For example: You won’t know when the bully will stop calling you names etc.
Some of you might still argue that some bullying at young age can be good for you because it will make you have to overcome problems and you will develop some social skills and learn that life is unfair. I disagree with this because most of the victim’s won’t stand up for themselves and how would you develop social skills if people are rejecting you. Every body learns that life is unfair not through bullying but from maybe getting blame from things they didn’t do or having to do chores at home everyday, or maybe even through your parents always picking on your younger brother and sisters side and not yours.
So what do you think of bullying now? Good or Bad? I hope you agree with meSpeech
Polar Bear, common name for a white bear found on the sea ice of the Arctic throughout the North Polar basin. The only marine bear, it is longer than other bears and streamlined for aquatic life. It has the plant grade feet (heel and sole touching the ground) typical of bears, with five sharp, curved claws on each foot for grasping the ice and holding its prey. Long hair between the pads protects the bear's feet from the cold and provides traction on the ice. Stiff hairs on the forelegs, and very broad front feet, help the bear swim. All polar bears are white, although their fur may yellow in the summer.
The largest wild bears ever weighed—more than 800 kg—have been polar bears. However, most male polar bears weigh an average of about 350 kg, and most females weigh about 250 kg. Polar bears have a strong navigational sense, an extremely good sense of smell, and they are unusually clever at solving problems in order to obtain food. They eat primarily ringed seals, and occasionally bearded seals, walruses, or white whales. They also feed on berries, sedges, mussels, and kelp.
As with other bears, polar bear mothers and young form very strong bonds. The young are very small when born: about 1 kg. Their eyes remain closed for about 40 days and they must nurse every few hours. The mother holds them close to keep them warm. Except during the breeding season, male polar bears are solitary and roam over vast expanses of sea ice while hunting. During the breeding season in May to June, the males fight furiously over females. Both the male and female may mate with other individuals as well.
Polar bears have little interest in other Arctic species, and they often ignore people entirely. Polar bears are hunted extensively in Canada and Greenland, and less so in Russia and Alaska. They are protected in Svalbard, Norway. Polar-bear populations are relatively secure because few people share their habitat, but shipping and offshore drilling for oil threaten their status.
