The Commission shall be assisted by the Standing Veterinary Committee established by Decision 68/361/EEC, composed of representatives of the Member States and chaired by the representantives of the Commission.

Komisijai padeda Sprendimu 68/361/EEB įkurtas Veterinarijos nuolatinis komitetas, kurį sudaro valstybių narių atstovai ir kuriam pirmininkauja Komisijos atstovas.

The representantive of the Commission shall submit to the Committee a draft of the measures to be taken.

Komisijos atstovas pateikia komitetui priemonių, kurių turi būti imtasi, projektą.

2. The representantive of the Commission shall submit to the Committee a draft of the measures to be taken. The Committee shall deliver its opinion on the draft within a time limit which the chairman may lay down according to the urgency of the matter. The opinion shall be delivered by the majority laid down in Article 205(2) of the Treaty in the case of decisions for which the Council is required to adopt on a proposal from the Commission. The votes of the representatives of the Member States within the Committee shall be weighted in the manner set out in that Article. The chairman shall not vote.

2. Komisijos atstovas pateikia komitetui priemonių, kurių turi būti imtasi, projektą. Komitetas savo nuomonę dėl projekto pareiškia per tokį laiką, kurį nustato pirmininkas, atsižvelgdamas į klausimo skubumą. Nuomonė patvirtinama Sutarties 205 straipsnio 2 dalyje nustatyta balsų dauguma tuo atveju, kai Taryba turi priimti sprendimą remdamasi Komisijos siūlymu. Valstybių narių atstovų Komitete balsai skaičiuojami taip, kaip nustatyta tame straipsnyje. Pirmininkas nebalsuoja.
