(12) Baumwollsaat (ungemahlen) enthält viel freies Gossypol als natürlichen Bestandteil. Daher ist es angezeigt, spezifische Hoechstgehalte für freies Gossypol in Baumwollsaat (ungemahlen) festzulegen.

(12) Whole cottonseed contains high levels of free gossypol as natural constituent. It is therefore appropriate to set specific maximum limits for free gossypol in whole cottonseed.

Für die Bestimmung von freiem Gossypol in Samen, Mehl und Kuchen von Baumwollsaat soll die Einwaage 1 g nicht überschreiten, während sie bei Mischfuttermitteln 5 g erreichen kann.

FOR THE DETERMINATION OF FREE GOSSYPOL IN COTTONSEED, COTTONSEED MEAL AND COTTONSEED CAKE, THE TEST SAMPLE SHOULD NOT EXCEED 1 G ; FOR COMPOUND FEEDINGSTUFFS, IT MAY BE AS MUCH AS 5 G .

Der den Anspruch auf Beihilfe auslösende Umstand gilt im Sinne von Artikel 6 der Verordnung (EWG) Nr. 1134/68 für Baumwollsaat als am 1. November nach Beginn eines jeden Wirtschaftsjahres eingetreten.

The event within the meaning of Article 6 of Regulation (EEC) No 1134/68 in which the subsidy for cotton seeds becomes due and payable shall be considered to have occurred on 1 November following the beginning of each marketing year.

Der den Anspruch auf die Beihilfen für Baumwollsaat auslösende Umstand tritt zum Zeitpunkt der Erzeugung von Baumwolle ein. Es ist jedoch sehr schwierig, ein genaues Datum für die Erzeugung einer Partie festzustellen.

Die Methode erlaubt die Bestimmung von freiem Gossypol, Gesamtgossypol und chemisch nahe verwandter Substanzen in Samen, Mehl und Kuchen von Baumwollsaat sowie in Mischfuttermitteln, die Erzeugnisse aus Baumwollsaat enthalten. Die untere Grenze der Bestimmbarkeit beträgt 20 ppm.

THIS METHOD MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO DETERMINE THE LEVELS OF FREE GOSSYPOL, TOTAL GOSSYPOL AND CHEMICALLY RELATED SUBSTANCES IN COTTONSEED, COTTONSEED MEAL AND COTTONSEED CAKE AND IN COMPOUND FEEDINGSTUFFS CONTAINING THESE SUBSTANCES WHERE MORE THAN 20 PPM ARE PRESENT .

3. Member States shall prescribe that paragraph 2 (a) and (b) shall also apply to the raw materials and undesirable substances or products listed in Annex II (B) the maximum level of which is not restricted in Annex II (A), if the level of the undesirable substance or product present in the raw material exceeds that laid down in column 3 of Annex I for the corresponding straight feedingstuffs.
