Ook sommige steenvruchten, zoals kersen, perziken en abrikozen, bevatten van nature kleine hoeveelheden blauwzuur. Toch eten we deze vruchten al duizenden jaren zonder problemen.

De Lid-Staten schrijven voor dat de analysen voor de officiële controle van veevoeders ten aanzien van hun gehalten aan blauwzuur, calcium, carbonaten, ruwe as, in zoutzuur onoplosbare as, chloor van chloriden, mosterdolie, lactose, kalium, natrium, suikers, theobromine en ureum, de bepaling van de alkaloïden in lupinen, alsmede van de urease-activiteit van sojaprodukten, geschieden volgens de in de bijlage bij deze richtlijn omschreven methoden.

The Member States shall require that analyses for official controls of feeding-stuffs as regards their levels of hydrocyanic acid, calcium, carbonates, crude ash, ash insoluble in HCl chlorine from chlorides, mustard oil, lactose, potassium, sodium, sugars, theobromine and urea, and the determination of alkaloids in lupins and the estimation of the urease activity of products derived from soya be carried out using the methods set out in the Annex to this Directive. Overwegende dat het wenselijk is zo spoedig mogelijk te komen tot het vaststellen van alle noodzakelijke analysemethoden, en dat de vaststelling van de methoden voor de bepaling van het gehalte aan blauwzuur, calcium, carbonaten, ruwe as, in zoutzuur onoplosbare as, chloor van chloriden, mosterdolie, lactose, kalium, natrium, suikers, theobromine en ureum, voor de bepaling van de alkaloïden in lupinen, alsmede van de urease-activiteit van sojaprodukten een eerste stap vormt;

Whereas all the necessary methods of analysis should be established as soon as possible; whereas the establishment of methods for the determination of hydrocyanic acid, calcium, carbonates, crude ash, ash insoluble in HCl, chlorine from chlorides, mustard oil, lactose, potassium, sodium, sugars, theobromine and urea, and the determination of alkaloids in lupins and the estimation of the urease activity of products derived from soya are a first stage in this process;
