FASE 2 Beoordeling van het communautair belang van de op de nationale lijsten geplaatste gebieden

STAGE 2: Assessment of the Community importance of the sites included on the national lists

-communautair belang.

-Community interest.

Alle door de lidstaten in fase 1 aangewezen gebieden met prioritaire typen natuurlijke habitats en/of prioritaire soorten worden beschouwd als gebieden van communautair belang.

All the sites identified by the Member States in Stage 1 which contain priority natural habitat types and/or species will be considered as sites of Community importance.

a) communautaire programma's voor onderzoek op gebieden die van bijzonder belang zijn voor het gemeenschappelijke visserijbeleid;

Article 43 of the Treaty:(a) Community research programmes in areas of special importance for the common fisheries policy;

De verstrengeling van militaire en defensieaspecten van het gemeenschappelijk buitenlands en veiligheidsbeleid enerzijds en de meer traditionele gebieden van communautair belang anderzijds is complex en ligt politiek vaak gevoelig.

The linkages between defence and military aspects of CFSP, and the more traditional areas of Community concern, are complex and often politically sensitive.

Het is daarom van cruciaal belang dat de hervormingen op een aantal gebieden van het communautair acquis worden voortgezet. Van belang is ook dat Kroatië blijft samenwerken met het Internationaal Straftribunaal voor voormalig Joegoslavië.

(ii) the proportion of a Member State's territory covered by sites of Community importance in relation to the proportion of Community territory covered by sites of Community importance. A weighting of 20% shall be applied to this criterion.

Ik ben van oordeel dat de behoefte aan een communautaire octrooiregeling niet tot hoge behandelingskosten mag leiden of tot het afleiden van onderzoek van gebieden die misschien niet rendabel maar wel van algemeen belang zijn.
