It took me eighteen years to realize what an extraordinary influence my mother has been on my life. Examining her character I see how many traits she has passed on to me and she made the person that I am today. Hard work is one of the qualities she has passed on to me and she would always tell “you don’t get any where without hard work”. Remembering the past when my family came to America with no money and just a big dream and seeing today what I have achieved with hard work. Everything that I’ve done in my life I applied the important skill of working hard weather it was my education or the jobs that I had over the years. She instilled the qualities that are hard to come by in this day of age and I might have not always noticed how important they were but I truly appreciate them now. The reason I’m here receiving my education at Fordham University when many of my past classmates are unfortunately wasting their lives away on the streets is because of the hard work that my mother always talks about.
