Reuters Agency quoted Gates saying in an interview with the NBC news network that: Guantanamo prison turned into a stain on the reputation of the United States and its image in the world. The name itself is a condemnation of U.S. anti-terrorism strategy.

When we talk about the Qur’an, it is very specific: it is a book. But when we talk about Islam, what are we talking about? What type of Islam are we talking about? There are actually many Islams. We also often use “Islamic” very liberally. Some people use it just to gain something out of it, to sell ideas or goods or to stain things—Islamic terrorism, Islamic bombs, etc.
