1. On 20 November 2006, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 [1] by which the undertaking Tata Steel UK Ltd, controlled by Tata Steel Ltd ("Tata Steel", India) acquire(s) within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation control of the whole of the Corus Group Plc, ("Corus", UK) by way of purchase of shares, subject to a court sanctioned scheme of arrangement.

Op 20 november 2006 ontving de Commissie een aanmelding van een voorgenomen concentratie in de zin van artikel 4 van Verordening (EG) nr. 139/2004 van de Raad [1] waarin is medegedeeld dat de onderneming Tata Steel UK Ltd, die onder zeggenschap staat van de onderneming Tata Steel Ltd ("Tata Steel", India), in de zin van artikel 3, lid 1, onder b), van genoemde verordening van de Raad volledige zeggenschap verkrijgt over de onderneming Corus Group Plc, ("Corus", Verenigd Koninkrijk) door de aankoop van aandelen, afhankelijk van een door de rechter bekrachtigd akkoord.
