Each carton contains one bottle of 180ml Xyrem, a press-in bottle adaptor consisting of an LDPE bottle-well housing, a Silastic Biomedical ETR Elastomer valve, an acrylonitrile butadiene styrene terpolymer valve retainer and LDPE tubing, a graduated 10ml measuring device (polypropylene syringe) , two polypropylene dosing cups and two HDPE child resistant screw closures.

(1) The risks presented to man and the environment by toluene and trichlorobenzene (TCB) have been assessed under Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93 of 23 March 1993 on the evaluation and control of the risks of existing substances [3]. The risk evaluation identified a need to limit those risks, and the Scientific Committee on Toxicity, Ecotoxicity and the Environment (CSTEE) confirmed that conclusion.(2) Commission Recommendation 2004/394/EC of 29 April 2004 on the results of the risk evaluation and the risk reduction strategies for the substances: acetonitrile; acrylamide; acrylonitrile; acrylic acid; butadiene; hydrogen fluoride; hydrogen peroxide; methacrylic acid; methyl methacrylate; toluene; trichlorobenzene [4], adopted within the framework of Regulation (EEC) No 793/93, contains a strategy for limiting risks of toluene and TCB, recommending restrictions to limit the risks from certain uses of these substances.

Εκτιμώντας τα ακόλουθα:(1) Οι κίνδυνοι που ενέχουν για τον άνθρωπο και το περιβάλλον το τολουόλιο και το τριχλωροβενζόλιο (TCB) έχουν αξιολογηθεί σύμφωνα με τον κανονισμό (ΕΟΚ) αριθ. 793/93 του Συμβουλίου, της 23ης Μαρτίου 1993, για την αξιολόγηση και τον έλεγχο των κινδύνων από τις υπάρχουσες ουσίες [3]. Με την αξιολόγηση του κινδύνου εντοπίστηκε η ανάγκη για μείωση αυτών των κινδύνων και η επιστημονική επιτροπή για την τοξικότητα, την οικοτοξικότητα και το περιβάλλον (CSTEE) επιβεβαίωσε αυτό το συμπέρασμα.
