A role model is someone you look up to, who can have a major impact in your life. My father, Monish Inani, is my role model. My father possesses certain qualities that I admire. He is loving, caring, selfless, hard-working, a devote Hinduism, he displays good moral values, and he has taught me important life lessons. My father has been very patient with me; he has never given up on me and encouraged me to be a good model citizen. Throughout the years where I have been growing with my father, I have find out that he is a father that cares about people about having a good, health, and wealthy future where they don’t have to worry about much. Within him, the ones he most cares about is his family his children. He is a father that everyone time he feels that his children need advice about life and also doesn’t doubt in giving us advice. For example - At a point when I was failing in a subject of 12th standard, as I was not very good in academics. My father then had a long conversation with me about life; he told me that it would be smarter if I will study hard because, it would be easier for me to get a job and earn more money and that this was the best way I could help the family. He always tells us about what he went through because of not having the chance to concentrate on studies at all. By telling us this, he wants us to take advantage of what we have to have a better future. But what got my dad to where he is today was not from being lazy by no means but working hard and driving himself to become something better than what he was and to achieve his dreams. My father doesn’t only give advice about having a good future but also about morals. He always tells us that if I order for people to respect us we have to respect them at all times. To him having good morals is really important because not only does it make us do the right thing but also they will help us succeed in life. My father is a father that creates a great atmosphere..essays

In today’s perspective, literacy does not mean about the writing and reading capabilities only. It has gained a broader meaning. It claims to guide people towards awareness and the change which is needed in order to achieve a better way of living. The National Literacy Mission was set up by Govt. of India on May 5th, 1988 with the aim to eradicate illiteracy from the country. The targeted group for the same was people belonging to the age group of 15 to 35 years. The literacy rate of India has been recorded 64.84% (2001 census) against 52.21% in 1991. It has been increased by more than 12% in a decade. Also, the literacy rate is supposed to be around 70-72% by the end of 2010 (As estimated by National Sample Survey). But the goal is yet to be achieved completely (i.e. to obtain 100% literacy). Right to education is one of the fundamental rights for the people. Education for all is the mission of UNESCO that has to be achieved by 2015. Currently, India falls below the threshold level of literacy rate i.e.75%. The National Literacy Mission Authority has been working to achieve its goal since its establishment. NLMA (National Literacy Mission Authority) works under the ministry of Human Resource & Development. The Govt. of India has launched several schemes to achieve the goals of NLM. The initial target for NLM was to focus on the people belonging to the age group of 15 to 25 years. There were 80 million people falling under this age group. It was a big challenge to address such a huge lot of people about literacy and its benefits. In a way, it was quite different from all technology based or economic missions. It was conceived as a social mission by all and that helped NLM to achieve the success. The other significant factor was the political will of leaders at different levels at that time. The politicians and bureaucrats understood the importance of this mission and it has gained a whole hearted success in several states viz. Kerala, Tamilnadu, Rajasthan, Manipur etc. The idea was to convince people about their active participation, mobilization of social forces. Soon it became a national consensus. Thanks to the advertisements, sensitization of local leaders and people’s participation. Given below are some of the pioneers of success for National Literacy Mission: Literacy campaigns have been launched in almost 600 districts of India.

Is it luck or hard work that brings success? The answer is "hard work". One's efforts bring him success and not his luck. It is said, "triumphs don't come without effort." One who believes in his fate and sits idle thinking that if he is lucky he will succeed and takes easy ways to get things done can never come up in life. They fail to understand that success is not something that we run into by an accident. It takes lot of preparation and patience. Luck favours only those who help themselves. The "harder you work, the luckier you get. A man works day and night giving up all his play and delight and moves ahead to earn success and when he earned it people called it luck. This excellence is in fact not luck, but result of a lot of hard work. Any idea cannot become a success unless we work hard on it. When we lose things we think it was bad luck and don't try to find the reason for our failure. We get depressed and hesitate to work on it again. Today we are leading a happy and comfortable life due to hard work of someone else. We have bulbs to remove the darkness in a room; this was possible by hard work of Edison. We chat over phone with our friend enjoying which has resulted by the hard work put in by Alexander Graham Bell. The world lifts its hats up to one who puts 50 per cent of their efforts and on its head for those few soul who devote 100 per cent thus. "Success accompanies only those who work hard and not the one's who hardly work."
