We review a new “direct digitization” approach for “digital RF” architectures for software radio. Although direct digitization usually implies the simultaneous digitization of all channels in a particular band at a downconverted IF, we use this term to refer exclusively to the direct digitization of all bands, from near DC to RF. Furthermore, we present results on band selection and digitization of RF signals directly at the carrier frequency with high resolution. These novel approaches are enabled by a superconductor analog-to-digital converter technology using an ultra-fast IC logic known as Rapid Single Flux Quantum (RSFQ) logic, with performance capable of enabling envisioned software radios.

The aroma is pleasant, typical due to the particular production process. The coagulation of milk is done by adding lamb or kid rennet. The first cooking occurs when the granules, initially the size of a lentil, grow to the size of a rice grain following the addition of water. This is called reaking the curd (curdling). The curd, obtained by sedimentation and separated from the whey, is pressed to help purging. Then a second cooking phase begins, as the curd is covered with a liquid used to process cottage cheese, and is left to rest under a cloth for about 85 minutes. During drying, the curds are left on the appropriate stands for about 20 hours. In the stretching phase, the curd is cut into slices, kneaded in 80°C hot water for about 8 minutes and is then processed with care, to obtain a spherical shape with the exterior surface free of stretch marks and welded on one pole.

L'aroma è gradevole, caratteristico delle particolari procedure di produzione. La coagulazione del latte avviene mediante aggiunta di caglio in pasta di agnello o capretto. La prima cottura avviene quando i granuli, inizialmente con dimensioni di una lenticchia, assumono quelle di un chicco di riso a seguito dell'aggiunta di acqua, questa fase è detta ottura della cagliata. La massa caseosa ottenuta per sedimentazione e separata dal siero, viene sottoposta a pressatura per favorire la spurgatura. Inizia quindi la fase di seconda cottura in cui la pasta viene trattata con il liquido della lavorazione della ricotta, e viene lasciata riposare coperta da un telo per circa 85 minuti. Durante la fase di asciugatura la pasta viene lasciata su appositi supporti per circa 20 ore. Nella fase della filatura la pasta viene tagliata a fette, ricoperta con acqua a 80°C per circa 8 minuti e viene quindi lavorata con cura, fino ad ottenere una forma sferica con la superficie esterna esente da smagliature e saldata a un polo.

The center Polse of Côugnes is located in a quiet place surrounded by nature in the vicinity of the Parish of St. Peter in Matrix Carnia. Its name reminds of the particular place of est (polse) who made the effort, the municipality of Fielis during transportation of the deceased which were then buried in the cemetery of the Parish. The birth of this center is attributable to the will of a group of friends who have long sought a place for prayer, to also develop a particular community project. Attending the Parish discovered the prâz of côugnes and it is here that was built the huge complex currently visible.

Il centro “Polse di Côugnes” sorge in un luogo silenzioso circondato dalla natura nelle vicinanze della Pieve Matrice di San Pietro in Carnia. La sua denominazione particolare richiama alla memoria il luogo di “sosta, riposo” (polse) dalla fatica che compivano gli abitanti della località di Fielis durante il trasporto dei defunti che venivano poi sepolti nel cimitero della Pieve. La nascita di questo centro è riferibile alla volontà di un gruppo di amici che da tempo cercava un luogo per la preghiera, per sviluppare anche un particolare progetto di comunità. Frequentando la Pieve scoprirono i “prâz di côugnes” ed è qui che venne edificato il grande complesso attualmente visibile.
