A publicly available, comprehensive and detailed analysis of the European regulatory framework concerning shale gas and tight oil extraction is not available and should be developed.

Sebbene necessaria, non è ancora stata elaborata un’analisi dettagliata, completa e pubblicamente disponibile del quadro normativo europeo sull’estrazione di gas di scisto (shale gas) e di olio da formazioni sabbiose a bassa permeabilità (tight oil).

Focussing on regulatory acts concerning the environment and human health, the 36 most relevant Directives from the following fields of legislation were identified: water, protection of environment, safety at work, radiation protection, waste, chemicals and associated accidents.

Per quanto concerne gli atti normativi in materia di ambiente e salute umana, sono state identificate le 36 direttive più rilevanti nei seguenti settori legislativi: acqua, protezione dell'ambiente, sicurezza sul lavoro, protezione dalle radiazioni, rifiuti, sostanze chimiche e incidenti correlati.
