The most valuable work inside is the main dome, which lights the entire arm of the Latin Cross.

L’opera di maggior pregio dell’interno è la cupola centrale, da cui prende luce tutto il braccio della croce latina.

A 100-metre long corridor, on a slight tilt to accentuate its length and marked by think square columns, crosses the entire structure and guides the visitor along an emotional path inside the building.

Un corridoio lungo 100 metri, in leggera pendenza per accentuarne la lunghezza e ritmato da sottili colonne quadrate, attraversa l'intera struttura e guida il visitatore in un emozionante percorso dentro l'edificio.

The exterior is shaped like a Greek cross but inside the atrium opens onto a octagonal area with deep chapels. Elegant monochrome candelabras stand out against the brilliant blue background on the corner walls that continue over the octagonal vaults, covered with the 1515 frescoes by <PROTECTED> <PROTECTED> <PROTECTED>.

All'esterno presenta una pianta a croce greca, ma all'interno un atrio introduce in uno spazio ottagonale con profonde cappelle; sul brillante fondo azzurro delle paraste angolari spiccano le eleganti candelabre a monocromo, che proseguono sulla volta ottagonale, interamenta affrescata da <PROTECTED> <PROTECTED> <PROTECTED> nel 1515.

On the inside, the presbytery area is particularly interesting, it was restored during the second half of the 1500's. At the top of the apsidal vault there is the relic of the Sacred Nail of the Cross.

All'interno, di particolare interesse è l'area del presbiterio, ristrutturata nella seconda metà del 500. Alla sommità della volta absidale si trova la reliquia del Sacro Chiodo della Croce.

There is a gabled facade with visible brick walls, crossed over by two semi-columns that divide it into three parts, with decorations in white stone.

Collocata su tre basamenti che poggiano all’interno di una vasca dal fondo in mosaico, l’opera è formata dalla statua bronzea di un uomo accasciato su un parallelepipedo che, pur ghermito dalla morte, come indicano le aste incrociate che svettano alla sue spalle, vive eternamente nella pace della resurrezione, significata dalla intensa e variegata luminosità della vetrata.
