IT special concern being the use of hardware and software for these task for the benefit of individual people and society as a whole.” Berdasarkan jurnal yang bertajuk Exploring the impact of using stories and ICT to teach English to three and four year old Spanish children : Motivation and Development by Elejandro Revio Saucedo from University of Southamton (UK) , teachers and children use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the language classroom and the influence of electronic stories on the development of emergent literacy skill. For using ICT in teaching young children will to exploit the potential of ICT is by integrating technology into the curricula and everyday classroom activities. Children will using digital cameras to illustrate a science project or using a text processor to write sentences and practice punctuation rules. Berbanding kanak-kanak yang tidak menggunakan ICT dalam pembelajaran, potensi yang ada akan jauh ketinggalan dan memberi persaingan yang hebat dalam perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan kini. Proses pembelajaran tanpa ICT yang dilalui oleh kanak-kanak didapati kurang daya tarikan kerana tidak dapat mengacces pelbagai maklumat terkini. Dunia pendidikan kanak-kanak tanpa ICT akan mengurangkan potensi dan kecekapan mereka terhadap barang-barang elektronik dan gadgets. Berdasarkan kanak-kanak di Indonesia iaitu sebagai negara sedang berkembang, perkembangan pembelajaran dalam ICT adalah cukup tertinggal. Sebagaimana dilaporkan oleh Human Development Index (HDI) tahun 2003 lalu, Indonesia berada pada tangga ke -112(0.682) dari 175 negara. Posisi ini jauh di bawah Singapura yang ada di posisi ke-28 (0.888), dan Malaysia ke-58(0.790). Participant teacher’s using ICT in teaching young children believe in the potential of technology to support children’s learning, language and literacy development, mathematical thinking and social development. Children to exploit technology for leisure or as a tool to solve a problem. Other knowledge area like literacy or language can also benefit from the use of technology like TV and Video. Computer and software designed to support children literacy development and language learning.
