1. On 24 October 2006, the Commission received a notification of a proposed concentration pursuant to Article 4 of Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004 [1] by which the undertakings Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited ("MLIB", Ireland), which is ultimately owned by Merrill Lynch%amp% Co. Inc (ML, USA) and Irish Life and Permanent plc ("ILP" Ireland), will establish, within the meaning of Article 3(1)(b) of the Council Regulation, by way of purchase of shares in a newly created company (a 50/50 joint venture (the JV, Ireland)).

W dniu 24 października 2006 r., zgodnie z art. 4 rozporządzenia Rady (WE) nr 139/2004 [1] Komisja otrzymała zgłoszenie planowanej koncentracji, w wyniku której przedsiębiorstwo Merrill Lynch International Bank Limited ("MLIB", Irlandia), należące do Merrill Lynch%amp% Co. Inc (ML, USA) oraz Irish Life and Permanent plc ("ILP" Irlandia) utworzą w rozumieniu art. 3 ust. 1 lit. b) wymienionego rozporządzenia w drodze zakupu akcji w nowo powstałej spółce wspólne przedsiębiorstwo, w którym każde z nich posiadać będzie 50% udziałów (JV, Irlandia).
