In these charges, Mr Cohn-Bendit is accused of obstructing the course of a prosecution, in that -as stated in newspaper reports -he, together with others, a number of decades ago now, helped a Mr Klein, a terrorist alleged to have taken part in the OPEC attack in Vienna, to flee to France.

I denna anmälan anklagas vår kollega Cohn-Bendit för att ha gjort sig skyldig till skyddande av brottsling, nämligen därigenom att han -vilket sägs framgå av tidningsrapporter -vid en tidpunkt som numera ligger några årtionden tillbaka i tiden i samarbete med andra skall ha bistått en terrorist vid namn Klein, som skall ha medverkat vid attentatet mot OPEC-mötet i Wien, när denne flydde till Frankrike.

We are dealing with a course of events in respect of which Mr Cohn-Bendit was specifically praised by the trial court involved in the trial of Mr Klein some years ago, where the court drew attention to the courage and public spirit of the people who had assisted in getting that particular accused person to come out of hiding and give himself up to the public authorities.

Vi har att göra med en rad händelser för vilka Cohn-Bendit uttryckligen lovordades av den domstol som hade hand om rättegången mot Klein för några år sedan, då domstolen uppmärksammade modet och samhällsansvaret hos dem som hade bidragit till att få den anklagade personen att lämna sitt gömställe och överlämna sig till myndigheterna.

The third point has to do with the proceedings against the terrorist Mr Klein, which have now run their course, and in which the judge, in stating the grounds on which his judgment was based expressed admiration for what Mr Cohn-Bendit had done and depicted it as a typical example of what constructive help could be given to enable such people to break free from terrorist circles.

Den tredje punkten gäller den numera sedan länge avslutade processen mot terroristen Klein, där domaren i sitt domskäl uttryckligen berömde vår kollega Cohn-Bendit och beskrev fallet som ett typexempel på hur man även på ett positivt sätt kan bidraga till att sådana människor kan bryta sig ur terroristkretsar.
