Korean National Costume, Hanbok Korea's traditional clothing is called hanbok. Hanbok consists of a top and bottom. Men wear a jacket and pants. The beauty of the traditional Korean costume lies in the soft curves, natural colors and simple design. The women's skirt, in particular, is elegantly long and billowing in a shape that reminds one of a full bodied and elegantly simple pottery jar, while the jacket is relatively short and tight to the upper body. Today, there are two types of hanbok: One is traditional hanbok worn on special occasions such as traditional holidays or weddings, and the other is modernized hanbok tailored to suit contemporary lifestyle and living environments.
