they cannot listen to the exalted assembly and they are thrown at from every side,
(அதனால்) அவர்கள் மேலான கூட்டத்தார் (பேச்சை ஒளிந்து) கேட்க முடியாது இன்னும், அவர்கள் ஒவ்வோர் திசையிலிருந்தும் வீசி எறியப்படுகிறார்கள்.

deaf, dumb and blind; and they are not to return.
(அவர்கள்) செவிடர்களாக, ஊமையர்களாக, குருடர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர். எனவே அவர்கள் (நேரான வழியின் பக்கம்) மீள மாட்டார்கள்.

the fire burneth their faces, and they are glum therein.
(நரக) நெருப்பு அவர்களுடைய முகங்களை கரிக்கும்; இன்னும் அதில் அவர்கள் உதடு சுருண்டு (முகம் விகாரமானவர்களாக) இருப்பார்கள்.

and it is but one shout and they are all arraigned before us.
ஒரே ஒரு பேரொளி தவிர (வேறொன்றும்) இருக்காது உடன், அவர்கள் யாவரும் நம்முன் கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள்.

and they are with us, verily, of the chosen and the best!

இன்னும் பூமியும் மலைகளும் தூக்கி (எறியப்பட்டு) பின்னர் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று மோதி அவையிரண்டும் ஒரே தூளாக ஆக்கப்பட்டால் -

and they bar them from the way, though they themselves think that they are guided.
இன்னும், அந்த ஷைத்தான்கள் அவர்களை நேரான பாதையிலிருந்து தடுத்து விடுகின்றன. ஆனாலும், தாங்கள் நேரான பாதையில் செலுத்தப்படுவதாகவே அவர்கள் எண்ணிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்.

a sign for them is the night. from it we withdraw the day and they are in darkness.
இரவும் இவர்களுக்கோர் அத்தாட்சியாகும்; அதிலிருந்து பகலை கழற்றி விடுகிறோம்; அதனால் இவர்கள் ஆழ்ந்த இருளிலாகிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

all those who are in the heavens and the earth are his, and they are all obedient to him.
வானங்களிலும் பூமியிலும் இருப்பவை எல்லாம் அவனுக்கே உரியவை - எல்லாம் அவனுக்கே கீழ்படிந்து நடக்கின்றன.

அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனை அந்தரங்கத்திலும் அஞ்சுவார்கள்; இன்னும் அந்த (இறுதி) வேளையைக் குறித்துப் பயந்து கொண்டும் இருப்பார்கள்.

(to) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter.
அவர்கள் தாம் ஜகாத்தைக் கொடுக்காதவர்கள் மறுமையை நிராகரிப்பவர்களும் அவர்களே!

and they forbid it, and keep afar from it, and it is only themselves they destroy, but they are not aware.
மேலும் அவர்கள் (பிறரையும்) அதை (கேட்கவிடாது) தடுக்கிறார்கள்; இவர்களும் அதைவிட்டு ஒதுங்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் தங்களைத் தாங்களே நாசமாக்கிக் கொள்கிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் (இதைப்) புரிந்து கொள்வதில்லை.

they know only the outward appearance of the life of the world, and they! of the hereafter, they are neglecetful.
அவர்கள் இந்த உலக வாழ்விலிருந்து (அதன்) வெளித்தோற்றத்தையே அறிகிறார்கள் - ஆனால் அவர்கள் மறுமையைப் பற்றி அலட்சியமாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
