และยังพระเจ้าของเจ้าเท่านั้นก็จงมุ่งปรารถนาเถิด

for everything on the earth is extinction.
ทุก ๆ สิ่งที่อยู่บนแผ่นดินย่อมแตกดับ

so for one who rebelled,
ส่วนผู้ที่ละเมิดฝ่าฝืนนั้น

so for one who gave and practised piety
ส่วนผู้ที่บริจาคและยำเกรง (อัลลอฮฺ)

he who earns the wages of sin does so for himself; and god is aware of everything and is wise.
ผู้ใดที่แสวงหาบาปกรรมไว้ แท้จริงแล้วเขาแสวงหามันไว้ให้เป็นภัยแก่ตัวของเขาเองเท่านั้น และอัลลอฮฺนั้นเป็นผู้ทรงรอบรู้ ทรงปรีชาญาณ

never so, for there will be no escape.
เปล่าเลย ! ไม่มีที่พึ่งพิงดอก

never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula,
เปล่าเลย ! เมื่อวิญญาณขึ้นมาถึงคอหอย

not so; for we have created them of what they know.
ไม่เลยทีเดียวแท้จริงเราได้สร้างพวกเขาจากสิ่งที่พวกเขารู้กันดี

it was so, for we were fully informed about him.
เช่นนั้นแหละ เราหยั่งรู้ข่าวคราวที่เกี่ยวกับเขา

นั่นแหละคืออัลลอฮ์ ผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า ไม่มีผู้ควรได้รับการเคารพสักการะ นอกจากพระองค์ ผู้ทรงบังเกิดทุกสิ่งทุกอย่างเท่านั้นพวกเจ้าจงเคารพสักการะพระองค์เถิด และพระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้รับมอบหมายให้คุ้มครองรักษาในทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง

this is so for god is the friend of those who believe while the unbelievers have no friend.
ทั้งนี้เพราะว่าอัลลอฮ.เป็นผู้ทรงคุ้มครองบรรดาผู้ศรัทธา และแน่นอนพวกปฏิเสธศรัทธาไม่มีผู้คุ้มครองสำหรับพวกเขา

alas, would that i had not taken so-and-so for a friend!
“โอ้ความวิบัติแก่ฉัน ! หากฉันไม่คบคนนั้นเป็นเพื่อน”

it is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory.
ที่จะกินน้ำผึ้งมากก็ไม่ดี ฉะนั้นจึงเป็นการไร้เกียรติเมื่อใครเสาะหาเกียรติสำหรับตนเอ

by no means (should it be so)! for it is indeed a message of instruction:
มิใช่เช่นนั้น แท้จริงมันเป็นข้อเตือนใจ

one who acts righteously does so for his own benefit and one who commits evil does so against his own soul. to your lord you will all return.
ผู้ใดกระทำความดีก็จะได้แก่ตัวของเขาเอง และผู้ใดกระทำความชั่ว ก็จะตกหนักแก่ตัวของเขาเองแล้วพวกเจ้าย่อมจะกลับไปหาพระเจ้าของพวกเจ้า

and so for him who believeth not in allah and his messenger - lo! we have prepared a flame for disbelievers.
และถ้าผู้ใดมิได้ศรัทธาต่ออัลลอฮฺและร่อซูลของพระองค์ แท้จริงเราได้เตรียมไฟที่ลุกโชติช่วงไว้สำหรับผู้ปฏิเสธศรัทธา

and he will provide for him from whence he never reckoned. and whosoever puts his trust in god, he shall suffice him. god attains his purpose. god has appointed a measure for everything.
และจะทรงประทานปัจจัยยังชีพแก่เขาจากที่ที่เขามิได้คาดคิด และผู้ใดมอบหมายแด่อัลลอฮฺ พระองค์ก็จะทรงเป็นผู้พอเพียงแก่เขา แท้จริงอัลลอฮฺเป็นผู้ทรงบรรลุในกิจการของพระองค์โดยแน่นอนสำหรับทุกสิ่งอย่างนั้นอัลลอฮฺทรงกำหนดกฎสภาวะไว้แล้ว

that is so for god is the reality, and what they invoke other than him is illusion. indeed god is all-high and supreme.
นั่นเพราะว่าอัลลอฮฺนั้น พระองค์คือผู้ทรงสัจจะ และเพราะว่าสิ่งที่พวกเขาวิงวอนขออื่นจากพระองค์นั้นเป็นเท็จ
