Mendengar janji P.saccadiningrat, banyak para pemuda yang mencoba untuk mengalahkan dempo awang namun, sayang tidak ada satupun yang berhasil mengalahkannya. Suatu ketika ketika sedang terjadi peperangan di kerajaan Joko tole datang membantu P.saccadiningrat untuk mengalahkan Dempo awang. Dempo awang :” siapa kau anak muda ! jangan ikut campur atau ku hancurkan kau !”kata Dempo awang marah. Joko tole :”jangan banyak bicara ! hadapi aku” kata Joko tole menantang. Peperangan terjadi antara Joko tole dan Dempo awang yang kemudian dimenangkan oleh Joko tole. P.saccadingrat senang melihatnya dan memanggil Joko tole untuk mendekat. P. saccadiningrat :”siapa namamu anak muda ! “ kata P. saccadiningrat Joko tole :” sembahku pada yang Mulia, nama hamba Joko tole “ sambil berlutut P. saccadiningrat :” karena kamu berhasil mengalahkan Dempo awang maka kamu akan ku angkat menjadi raja di keraton ini. Belum sempat menjawab, kemudian Mpu kelleng datang. Mpu kelleng :” mafkan hamba yang Mulia karena lancang mengganggu yang Mulia.” Kata Mpu kelleng tiba-tiba. Joko tole :” ayah….” Kata Joko tole kaget. P. saccadiningrat :”apa dia ayahmu ?” Tanyanya pada Joko tole Joko tole :” iya yang Mulia” P. saccadiningrat :”putramu sangat hebat “ kata P. saccadiningrat memuji. Mpu kelleng :”terimakasih yang Mulia. Yang Mulia sebenarnya ada yang ingin hamba sampaikan kepada anda!“ P. saccadiningrat :” apa yang ingin kau katakana ? “ Mpu kelleng :”sebenarnya hamba bukan orang tua Joko tole.
