This project is focusing on simulates and evaluates the performance and characteristics for S-band multi-wavelength Brillouin Raman Fiber Laser utilizing FBG in ring cavity using Optisystem software. This project is developed in S-band region due to vast demanding on transmitting the information in fastest mode. So there is a need to extend the windows into S-band region although C-band window has been introduced to cater higher demanding of quick data transmission communication using wavelength to range 1530nm to 1565nm. Multi-wavelength BRFL is a recent research that can provide a high number of laser lines, flat amplitude, good stability, cost effectiveness, wider flatten gain bandwidth by multi-wavelength pumping, wider tunable bandwidth and simpler design. Optisystem software is a design and simulation software for fiber optics application. The objective of this project is to simulate the performance of multi-wavelength BRFL operating in the S-band wavelength region and to analyze the performance of the Brillouin stokes power, tuning range and number of stokes.The simulation result of this project is obtained by varying few parameters such as wavelength, pump power, Raman pump power and coupling ratio. First the wavelength is varies is step of ten from 1460nm to 1530nm. Then for each wavelength, the pump power is varies from 2dBm to 20dBm. For each wavelength and pump power the RPU power is varies at 2dBm, 4dBm, 10dBm, 12dBm, 14dBm and 20dBm. Finally the coupling ratio is varies at 50%, 60%, 70%, 80% and 90% for each paremeter that have been varies.The best parameters for this simulation can be seen at the end of this experiment where as for the coupling ratio 80% and 90% provides the higher output BS power while for the input power is at 18dBm and 20dBm and Raman pump power is at 14dBm because it produces more multiwavelength. The total number of the number of stokes produces is 7 stokes.
