penyingkiran hijau malachite dari larutan dengan penjerapan ke kulit nanas bivalve yang dikalsinasi

English

the feasibility of calcined bivalve shells treated pineapple peel (bs-pp) for removing malachite green from aqueous solutions has been investigated as a low cost agricultural adsorbent in this study. the potential of bs-pp as an adsorbent was evidently proven by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ftir) and scanning electron microscopy (sem). the adsorption process was carried out in a batch experiment as a function of contact time, adsorbent dosage and initial dye concentration. the amount of dye adsorbed increase with the increase of contact time. the optimum contact time of calcined bs-pp was 200 minutes as it showed the maximum adsorption capacity of 84.359 mg/g with initial dye concentration of 100 mg/l and adsorbent dosage of 0.1g at contact time of 200 min. the adsorption capacity was increase with the increase of initial dye concentration. besides that, the experiment result also showed that 0.5g of bs-pp was capable to remove 94.693% of malachite green since the increase in adsorbent dosage increase the percentage of dye removal. furthermore, the adsorption equilibrium data followed the langmuir isotherm model with r2 of 0.9985 compared to freundlich isotherm. the kinetics study revealed that the adsorption process was best described by the pseudo-second-order since the r2 value is 0.9999. this study suggests that calcined bs-pp can be a potential alternate adsorbent in the removal of malachite green from aqueous solution. lve shell treated pineapple peel
