Korean National Costume, Hanbok Korea's traditional clothing is called hanbok. Hanbok consists of a top and bottom. Men wear a jacket and pants. The jacket is called jeogori and the pants are called baji. The women wear a jacket and a skirt. The skirt is calledchima. The chima is a full wrap-around skirt that is very comfortable. It comes up as high as the armpits. Both men and women wear an overcoat called durumagi when they go out. The jacket, chima and baji do not have buttons. Instead, the hanbok uses ties that are made into knots. The hanbok is easy to put on and take off. The beauty of the traditional Korean costume lies in the soft curves, natural colors and simple design. The women's skirt, in particular, is elegantly long and billowing in a shape that reminds one of a full bodied and elegantly simple pottery jar, while the jacket is relatively short and tight to the upper body. Today, there are two types of hanbok: One is traditional hanbok worn on special occasions such as traditional holidays or weddings, and the other is modernized hanbok tailored to suit contemporary lifestyle and living environments.

Malaysian literature is the collection of literary works produced in the Malay peninsula until 1963 and in Malaysia thereafter. Malaysian literature is typically written in any of the country's four main languages: Malay, English, Chinese and Tamil. It portrays various aspects of Malaysian life and comprises an important part of the culture of Malaysia. The earliest works of Malaysian literature were transmitted orally in the absence of writing scripts. Oral literature encompasses a variety of genres of Malay folklore, such as myths, legends, folk tales, romances, epics, poetry, proverbs, origin stories and oral histories. Oral tradition thrived among the Malays, but continues to survive among the indigenous people of Malaysia, including the Orang Asli and numerous ethnic groups in Sarawak and Sabah

Case 4: Our Secret Constellation. Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo, author and illustrator respectively of Trese didn’t envision the comic to be as popular or as long as three volumes. Hence, Volume 1 was written as a standalone. Taken on its own, one feels it’s very much like picking up a Spider Man or Batman comic book and appreciating it as that one issue. I love that Trese began in Balete drive and 13th street. If there was one place in Metro Capt. Guerrero & Alexandra Trese Manila where urban legends of white ladies and car accidents should happen its Balete drive. Paying homage to that part of the city with the case of the dead white lady was, I believe, a good way to start. From case 1, we pick up a few things about our main protagonist. She had connections with the police (Capt. Guerrero) and was called over for cases that are beyond forensic investigation. The dynamic between Trese and Guerrero is reminiscent of Batman a Commissioner Gordon. I get the feel of Batman more as I got through the novel. Parts of me felt like Trese was a cooler Batman (she’s a girl that kick’s ass…I mean seriously, how can she not be cooler than Batman?! Lol). While Batman’s choices of weapon are far more technologically advance than Trese, we are introduced to Trese’s choice of weapon in volume 1. It’s referred to as Sinag—a Kris like blade. A similar blade is used by Lam-ang in Mythology class. A Kris is said to be both a weapon and a spiritual object. It is said to hold a presence or essence. We also meet her sidekicks—the kambal—referred to as half-breeds (or half-aswangs). The Kambal in full battle gear wear a mask (one sad and one happy) and a healthy appetite for battles and shooting.

Pilandok and the Crocodiles ( Maranao ) The prankster Pilandok wanted to cross a deep river filled with crocodiles. But he had no boat, and no bridge was in sight. And then he had an idea. He called to the crocodiles underwater. "What do you want?" they asked him irritably. "Come up to the surface of the water," he commanded the crocodiles. "My master, the sultan, wants to know how many you are in the river." "Why?" the crocodiles demanded. "He is going to give you gifts. Many gifts, and he wants to know how many would benefit from his kindness." So the crocodiles floated until they filled the surface of the river. Pilandok jumped on their backs as if they were stepping-stones, and pretended to count as he carefully picked his way to the other side of the river. When he had safely reached the bank, he turned back to the crocodiles and shouted: "I fooled you! I came from no sultan – and whoever with such ugly faces would receive plentiful gifts?" Then he ran away as fast as he could, so that the crocodiles never knew what a master prankster tasted like.

network of pipes, pumps, and force mains for the collection of wastewater, or sewage, from a community. Modern sewerage systems fall under two categories: domestic and industrial sewers and storm sewers. Sometimes a combined system provides only one network of pipes, mains, and outfall sewers for all types of sewage and runoff. The preferred system, however, provides one network of sewers for domestic and industrial waste, which is generally treated before discharge, and a separate network for storm runoff, which may be diverted to temporary detention basins or piped directly to a point of disposal in a stream or river. See wastewater treatment.

What does the sewerage system
