It is no good for Glyn to say that he agrees with one or two parts of the Act because if the Tory amendment was passed , we would not see the huge progress that this Act would give us on SSSIs , rights of way and areas of outstanding natural beauty

You may also be aware that 70 per cent of the sites of special scientific interest in Wales are in an unacceptable condition , and that some of them are dangerously deteriorating to the point where the Countryside Council for Wales now estimates that many of them will cease to be SSSIs because they have deteriorated so badly
