Ak v zónach nárazu sedadiel, hlavových opierok a ich nosných konštrukcií sú časti potiahnuté materiálom s tvrdosťou menšou ako 50 Shore A, platia vyššie uvedené požiadavky s výnimkou ustanovení, ktoré sa dotýkajú rozptyľovania energie a sú popísané v prílohe III, len pre tuhé časti.

If the impact zones of the seats, head-restraints and their supports contain parts covered with material softer than 50 Shore A hardness, the above requirements, with the exception of those relating to energy dissipation described in Annex III, shall apply only to the rigid parts.
