because they said, he hath an unclean spirit.
ርኵስ መንፈስ አለበት ይሉ ነበርና።

because they ascribe a son to the gracious one .
ለአልረሕማን ልጅ አልለው ስለአሉ ፡ ፡

then evil was the end of those who did evil , because they
ከዚያም የእነዚያ ያጠፉት ሰዎች መጨረሻ በአላህ አንቀጾች በማስተባበላቸውና በእርሷ የሚሳለቁ በመኾናቸው ምክንያት መጥፎ ቅጣት ሆነች ፡ ፡

and reward them , because they were patient , with garden and silk ,
በመታገሣቸውም ገነትንና የሐር ልብስን መነዳቸው ፡ ፡

having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith.
የፊተኛውንም እምነታቸውን ስለ ናቁ ይፈረድባቸዋል፤

and because they denied and spoke dreadful calumnies of mary ;
በመካዳቸውም በመርየም ላይ ከባድ ቅጥፈትን በመናገራቸውም ምክንያት ( ረገምናቸው ) ፡ ፡

and because they disbelieved and slandered maryam with a tremendous accusation .
በመካዳቸውም በመርየም ላይ ከባድ ቅጥፈትን በመናገራቸውም ምክንያት ( ረገምናቸው ) ፡ ፡

that is because they hated what god revealed , so he nullified their deeds .
ይህ እነርሱ አላህ ያወረደውን ስለጠሉ ነው ፡ ፡ ስለዚህ ሥራዎቻቸውን አበላሸባቸው ፡ ፡

and their recompense shall be paradise , and silken garments , because they were patient .
በመታገሣቸውም ገነትንና የሐር ልብስን መነዳቸው ፡ ፡

and their revenge on them was only because they believed in allah , the almighty , the praised ,
ከእነርሱም በአላህ አሸናፊው ፣ ምስጉኑ በኾነው ( ጌታ ) ማመናቸውን እንጅ ሌላ ምንም አልጠሉም ፡ ፡

[ noah ] said , " my lord , support me because they have denied me . "
( ኑሕም ) « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ባስተባበሉኝ ምክንያት እርዳኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

does their reason tell them to say this or is it because they are a rebellious people ?
አእምሮዎቻቸው በዚህ ያዟቸዋልን ? አይደለም በእውነቱ እነርሱ ወሰን አላፊዎች ሕዝቦች ናቸው ፡ ፡

( because ) they perform the vow and fear a day whereof the evil is wide-spreading ,
( ዛሬ ) በስለታቸው ይሞላሉ ፡ ፡ መከራው ተሰራጪ የኾነንም ቀን ይፈራሉ ፡ ፡

but he whose scales are light those have lost their souls because they were harmful towards our verses .
ሚዛኖቻቸው የቀለሉባቸው ሰዎችም እነዚያ እነርሱ ተአምራቶቻችንን ይክዱ በነበሩት ምክንያት ነፍሶቻቸውን ያከሰሩ ናቸው ፡ ፡

and ( as for ) those who reject our communications , chastisement shall afflict them because they transgressed .
እነዚያም ባንቀጾቻችን ያስዋሹ ያምጹ በነበሩት ምክንያት ቅጣቱ ያገኛቸዋል ፡ ፡

and those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear , because they will return to their lord ; -
እነዚያም የሚሰጡትን ነገር እነርሱ ወደ ጌታቸው ተመላሾች መኾናቸውን ልቦቻቸው የሚፈሩ ኾነው የሚሰጡት ፡ ፡

that is because they opposed god and his messenger . whoever opposes god and his messenger god — is severe in retribution .
ይህ እነርሱ አላህንና መልክተኛውን ስለተቃወሙ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህንና መልክተኛውንም የሚቃወም ሁሉ አላህ ቅጣቱ ብርቱ ነው ፡ ፡

[ nuh ( noah ) ] said : " o my lord ! help me because they deny me . "
( ኑሕም ) « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ባስተባበሉኝ ምክንያት እርዳኝ » አለ ፡ ፡

because they broke their promise with allah and his messenger ; and whosoever breaks their promise with allah allah is stern in retribution .
ይህ እነርሱ አላህንና መልክተኛውን በመከራከራቸው ነው ፡ ፡ አላህንም የሚከራከር ሰው ( ይቀጣዋል ) ፡ ፡ አላህ ቅጣተ ብርቱ ነውና ፡ ፡

[ by ] that we repaid them because they disbelieved . and do we [ thus ] repay except the ungrateful ?
በመካዳቸው ይህንን መነዳናቸው ፤ ( እንዲህ ያለውን ቅጣት ) በጣም ከሓዲን እንጂ ሌላውን እንቀጣለን ?
