( የእርዳታ ) ቃላችንም መልክተኞች ለሆኑት ባሮቻችን በእውነት አልፋለች ፡ ፡

already our word has preceded to our servants , the envoys ;
( የእርዳታ ) ቃላችንም መልክተኞች ለሆኑት ባሮቻችን በእውነት አልፋለች ፡ ፡

those who preceded them said the same thing but they gained nothing from what they did ;
እነዚያ ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩት ሕዝቦች በእርግጥ ብለዋታል ፡ ፡ ይሠሩት የነበሩትም ነገር ከእነርሱ አልጠቀማቸውም ፡ ፡

and but for a word that preceded from thy lord , and a stated term , it had been fastened .
ከጌታህ ያለፈች ቃልና የተወሰነ ጊዜ ባልነበረ ኖሮ ( ቅጣቱ አሁኑኑ ) የሚይዛቸው ይኾን ነበር ፡ ፡

verily those for whom the good reward hath preceded from us , they therefrom shall be kept far away .
እነዚያ ከእኛ መልካሟ ቃል ለእነርሱ ያለፈችላቸው እነዚያ ከርሷ የተራቁ ናቸው ፡ ፡

if not for a decree from allah that preceded , you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment .
ከአላህ ያለፈ ፍርድ ባልነበረ ኖሮ በወሰዳችሁት ( ቤዛ ) ከባድ ቅጣት በነካችሁ ነበር ፡ ፡

have they not journeyed in the land and observed the fate of those who preceded them ? they were superior to them in strength .
በምድር ላይ አይኼዱምና የእነዚያን ከእነርሱ በፊት የነበሩትን ሰዎች መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደ ነበረ አይመለከቱምን ? ከእነርሱም በኀይል የበረቱ ነበሩ ፡ ፡ አላህም በሰማያትም ኾነ በምድር ውስጥ ምንም ነገር የሚያቅተው አይደለም ፡ ፡ እርሱ ዐዋቂ ቻይ ነውና ፡ ፡

and indeed we have sent down towards you clear verses , and some account of those who preceded you , and advice for the pious .
ወደእናንተም አብራሪ የኾኑን አንቀጾች ከእነዚያ ከበፊታችሁ ካለፉትም ( ምሳሌዎች ዓይነት ) ምሳሌን ለጥንቁቆቹ መገሰጫንም በእርግጥ አወረድን ፡ ፡

and we destroyed greater than them in [ striking ] power , and the example of the former peoples has preceded .
ከእነርሱም በኀይል ይበልጥ የበረቱትን አጥፍተናል ፡ ፡ የፊተኞቹም ( አጠፋፍ ) ምሳሌ አልፏል ፡ ፡

and lut : recall what time he said unto his people : verily ye commit an indecency wherein none hath preceded you in the worlds .
ሉጥንም ለሕዝቦቹ ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) « እናንተ ጠያፍን ስራ ትሠራላችሁን በእርሷ ከዓለማት አንድም አልቀደማችሁም ፡ ፡

mankind were only one nation , then they fell into variance . but for a word that preceded from thy lord , it had been decided between them already touching their differences .
ሰዎችም አንድ ሕዝብ እንጂ ሌላ አልነበሩም ፡ ፡ ተለያዩም ፡ ፡ ከጌታህ ያለፈች ቃልም ባልነበረች ኖሮ በእርሱ በሚለያዩበት ነገር በመካከላቸው በእርግጥ ( በቶሎ ) በተፈረደ ነበር ፡ ፡

and we had already given moses the scripture , but it came under disagreement . and if not for a word that preceded from your lord , it would have been concluded between them .
ሙሳንም መጽሐፉን በእርግጥ ሰጠነው ፡ ፡ በእርሱም ተለያዩበት ፡ ፡ ከጌታህም ያለፈች ቃል ባልነበረች ኖሮ በመካከላቸው በተፈረደ ነበር ፡ ፡ እነርሱም ከእርሱ አወላዋይ በኾነ ጥርጣሬ ውስጥ ናቸው ፡ ፡

he has sent down the book to you with truth , which fulfils [ the predictions ] in the scriptures that preceded it : he sent down the torah and the gospel
ከርሱ በፊት ያሉትን መጻሕፍት የሚያረጋግጥ ሲኾን መጽሐፉን ( ቁርኣንን ) ባንተ ላይ ከፋፍሎ በእውነት አወረደ ፡ ፡ ተውራትንና ኢንጂልንም አውርዷል ፡ ፡

he has sent down to you the book with the truth , confirming what preceded it ; and he has sent down the torah and the gospel ( of prophet jesus which has been lost )
ከርሱ በፊት ያሉትን መጻሕፍት የሚያረጋግጥ ሲኾን መጽሐፉን ( ቁርኣንን ) ባንተ ላይ ከፋፍሎ በእውነት አወረደ ፡ ፡ ተውራትንና ኢንጂልንም አውርዷል ፡ ፡

and [ we had sent ] lot when he said to his people , " do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds ?
ሉጥንም ለሕዝቦቹ ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ « አስቀያሚን ሥራ ትሠራላችሁን በእርሷ ከዓለማት አንድም አልቀደማችሁም ፡ ፡ »

and [ mention ] lot , when he said to his people , " indeed , you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds .
ሉጥንም ለሕዝቦቹ ባለ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) « እናንተ ጠያፍን ስራ ትሠራላችሁን በእርሷ ከዓለማት አንድም አልቀደማችሁም ፡ ፡

( and it also belongs to ) those who came after them , and who pray : “ lord , forgive us and our brethren who have preceded us in faith , and do not put in our hearts any rancour towards those who believe . lord , you are the most tender , the most compassionate . ”
እነዚያም ከበኋላቸው የመጡት « ጌታችን ሆይ ! ለእኛም ለእነዚያም በእምነት ለቀደሙን ወንድሞቻችን ምሕረት አድርግ ፡ ፡ በልቦቻችንም ውስጥ ለእነዚያ ለአመኑት ( ሰዎች ) ጥላቻን አታድርግ ፡ ፡ ጌታችን ሆይ ! አንተ ርኅሩህ አዛኝ ነህና » ይላሉ ፡ ፡
