"she looked at the stars, father. and manong leon sang." "what did he sing?" " sky sown with stars... she sang with him." he was silent again. i could hear the low voices of mother and my sister aurelia downstairs. there was also the voice of my brother leon, and i thought that father's voice must have been like it when father was young. he had laid the roll of tobacco on the windowsill once more. i watched the smoke waver faintly upward from the lighted end and vanish slowly into the night outside. the door opened and my brother leon and maria came in. "have you watered labang?" father spoke to me. i told him that labang was resting yet under the barn. "it is time you watered him, my son," my father said. i looked at maria and she was lovely. she was tall. beside my brother leon, she was tall and very still. then i went out, and in the darkened hall the fragrance of her was like a morning when papayas are in bloom.

my closest relative would have to be my granddad. my granddad is an eighty nine year old american from colorado, usa. he is the tallest one in our family, when he stand next to me its like i'm standing next to a tower. he has grey hair with a bald spot on the top of his head and he also has a mustache that is also grey. he looks like someone you'd see in a old american cowboy film. he has very gentle and soft features that make him looks very comfortable and easy to talk to and approach. his vision is as bad as a bats so he has to wear salamin, aviator salamin. he has very pale skin as do most americans so its a pretty good contrast to me and my skin color. he has a very gentle quite voice and speaks very well. he loves telling stories of when he was a sailor and traveled across the sea to many different countries. and he always used to love telling me bed time stories when i was a kid. i can only hope that he lives long enough to see my achievements in the future.

my review of a book: the book i have recently read is coast to coast written by david fermer. it is a fiction story, which takes place in australia. two main characters meet each other one day and build a strong friendship secretly. a 17 year old australian young man, called cooper discovers an afghan asylum seeker boy, called bashir on the beach. bash it is a poor guy, who lives in hard conditions and have huge hopes. cooper helped him and did good things for him. he took him to his fathers hut secretly and gave him supplies to live there. one day the secret got revealed, but everything went good. they took bashir to their home to live with them for a certain time. after a while, bashir was taken to the camp to nauru, because he was not allowed to stay in australia. in the camp rpc he was put in rpc 2 with all the men who came to australia alone. one day he saw the man who killed his father in pakistan before. he didn’t know what to do. he was afraid and confused why the man was there. is bashir going to survive? is he going to be granted asylum or not? will he be able to meet cooper again? i find the story interesting while reading it. it makes the reader curious to know what is going to happen next. i enjoyed the story, because it was very well written and it had very strong characters. the book would have been more enjoyable for me, if there were pictures showing in it. i especially appreciated it, because of the metaphors, which are written there. it’s pleasure reading this book. it tells and shows you how refugees live and feel in bad conditions. you’ll learn a lot of this book, if you read it and it tells you true information, which happen with people nowadays.

rafael cuevas was the man in question. an ophthalmologist. he committed a heinous crime the night before he married margarita, an opera singer, at a stag party organized by his friends. he was able to rob the lady who was in such bad shape. he took a blind and impoverished man's virginity. he is "clean" from his sin because the unseen cannot see his expression. there is no evidence to support this argument.
