so, as for the orphan, do not oppress him;

when you lay hands upon anyone, you do so as tyrants.
"எனவே, நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சங்கள்; எனக்கும் வழிப்படுங்கள்.

so as for thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast].
எனவே, ஸமூது கூட்டத்தார் (அண்டம் கிடுகிடச் செய்யும்) பெரும் சப்தத்தால் அழிக்கப்பட்டனர்.

woe to me! i wish i had not taken so and so as a friend!
"எனக்கு வந்த கேடே! (என்னை வழி கெடுத்த) ஒருவனை நண்பனாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாது இருந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?"

woe alas, ah would i had not taken so-and-so as friend!
"எனக்கு வந்த கேடே! (என்னை வழி கெடுத்த) ஒருவனை நண்பனாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாது இருந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?"

(these are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle.
(இவையெல்லாம்) உங்களுக்கும், உங்கள் கால் நடைகளுக்கும் பயனளிப்பதற்காக,

so as to deny what we have bestowed on them. well, enjoy yourselves, you will come to know soon.
நாம் அவர்களுக்கு அளித்துள்ளதை (நனிறியில்லாது) நிராகரிக்கும் வரையில் - ஆகவே (இம்மையில் சிலகாலம்) சகித்திருங்கள் - பின்னர் (விரைவிலேயே உங்கள் தவற்றை) அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்.

as for those who work against our signs so as to frustrate them, they shall be arraigned into the chastisement.
அன்றியும், எவர்கள் நம்முடைய வசனங்களிலே தோல்வியை உண்டாக்க முயல்கிறார்களோ, அவர்கள் வேதனையில் கொண்டு வரப்படுவார்கள்.

thereafter we delivered our apostles and those who believed. even so, as incumbent upon us, we deliver the believers.
(அவ்வாறு வேதனை வருங்காலத்தில்) நம் தூதர்களையும், ஈமான் கொண்டவாகளையும் நாம் இவ்வாறே காப்பாற்றுவோம் - (ஏனெனில்) ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவது நமது கடமையாகும்,

then we shall deliver our messengers and the believers. even so, as is our bounden duty, we shall deliver the believers.
(அவ்வாறு வேதனை வருங்காலத்தில்) நம் தூதர்களையும், ஈமான் கொண்டவாகளையும் நாம் இவ்வாறே காப்பாற்றுவோம் - (ஏனெனில்) ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவது நமது கடமையாகும்,

if thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember.
எனவே போரில் நீர் அவர்கள்மீது வாய்ப்பைப் பெற்று விட்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் உள்ளவர்களும் பயந்தோடும்படி சிதறடித்து விடுவீராக - இதனால் அவர்கள் நல்லறிவு பெறட்டும்.

and be not slack so as to cry for peace and you have the upper hand, and allah is with you, and he will not bring your deeds to naught.
(முஃமின்களே! போரில்) நீங்கள் தளர்ச்சியடைந்து, தைரியமிழந்து சமாதானத்தைக் கோராதீர்கள்; (ஏனென்றால்) நீங்கள் தாம் மேலோங்குபவர்கள்; அல்லாஹ் உங்களுடனேயே இருக்கின்றான் - மேலும், அவன் உங்கள் (நற்) செய்கைகளை உங்களுக்கு (ஒரு போதும்) குறைத்து விடமாட்டான்.

may you always be happy nagesh. i decided to leave you so as not to trouble you. but i can't go a day without seeing you.

and if you learn of treachery on the part of any people, throw their treaty back at them, so as to be on equal terms, for god does not love the treacherous.
(உம்முடன் உடன்படிக்கை செய்திருக்கும்) எந்தக் கூட்டத்தாரும் மோசம் செய்வார்கள் என நீர் பயந்தால். (அதற்குச்) சமமாகவே (அவ்வுடன்படிக்கையை) அவர்களிடம் எறிந்துவிடும்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் மோசம் செய்பவர்களை நேசிப்பதில்லை.

and (bethink you of) the day when we remove the hills and ye see the earth emerging, and we gather them together so as to leave not one of them behind.
(நபியே!) ஒரு நாள் நாம் மலைகளை (அவற்றின் இடங்களை விட்டுப்) பெயர்த்து விடுவோம்; அப்போது, பூமியை நீர் வெட்ட வெளியாகக் காண்பீர்; அவர்களை ஒன்று சேர்ப்போம், (அந்நாளில்) நாம் ஒருவரையும் விட்டு வைக்க மாட்டோம்.

your allah is one allah; so (as for) those who do not believe in the hereafter, their hearts are ignorant and they are proud.
உங்களுடைய நாயன் ஒரே நாயன்தான்; எனவே, எவர்கள் மறுமையை நம்பவில்லையே, அவர்களுடைய நெஞ்சங்கள் (இவ்வுண்மையை) நிராகரிப்பவையாக இருக்கின்றன - மேலும் அவர்கள் (ஆணவங் கொண்டு) பெருமையடிப்பவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்கள்.
