በምድረ በዳም ከሰይጣን እየተፈተነ አርባ ቀን ሰነበተ ከአራዊትም ጋር ነበረ፥ መላእክቱም አገለገሉት።
and he was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted of satan; and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

እነዚያ የተጠነቀቁት ከሰይጣን የኾነ ዘዋሪ በነካቸው ጊዜ ( ጌታቸውን ) ይገነዘባሉ ፡ ፡ ወዲያውም እነሱ ተመልካቾች ይኾናሉ ፡ ፡
if the god-fearing are instigated by any suggestion of satan , they instantly become alert , whereafter they clearly perceive the right way .

እነሆ፥ አይሁድ ሳይሆኑ። አይሁድ ነን ከሚሉ ነገር ግን ከሚዋሹ ከሰይጣን ማኅበር አንዳንዶችን እሰጥሃለሁ እነሆ፥ መጥተው በእግሮችህ ፊት ይሰግዱ ዘንድ እኔም እንደ ወደድሁህ ያውቁ ዘንድ አደርጋቸዋለሁ።
behold, i will make them of the synagogue of satan, which say they are jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, i will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that i have loved thee.

እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! የሚያሰክር መጠጥ ቁማርም ጣዖታትም አዝላምም ከሰይጣን ሥራ የኾኑ እርኩስ ብቻ ናቸው ፡ ፡ ( እርኩስን ) ራቁትም ልትድኑ ይከጀላልና ፡ ፡
believers , intoxicants and gambling and [ occult dedication of ] stones and divining arrows are abominations devised by satan . avoid them , so that you may prosper .

( በመጥፎ ) መንሾካሾክ ከሰይጣን ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ እነዚያ ያመኑት ያዝኑ ዘንድ ( ይቀሰቅሰዋል ) ፡ ፡ በአላህ ፈቃድ ካልኾነ በቀር በምንም አይጎዳቸውም ፡ ፡ በአላህ ላይም አማኞች ይጠጉ ፡ ፡
conspiracies are from satan , that he may dishearten those who believe ; but he will not harm them in the least , except by leave of god . so let the believers put their trust in god .
