Three Theories on Chronic Lateness Everyone is late sometimes. Stuff happens. Some of us, though, are always late. For everything. “Traffic” isn’t an adequate excuse when you’re late for events in your own home, or when you’re the headliner of a concert scheduled to hit at 8PM and you roll in, unflustered, at 8:45PM. There’s an underlying reason. We propose three theories of chronic lateness: 1) Deeply Rooted Passive-Aggressive/Anal-Retentive Syndrome. Only by withholding that which is desired — the late person’s presence — can the child control and monopolize the attention of his parents. Or colleagues. Or audience members. 2) Incompetence. Some folks just can’t get it together. In any area of life. These folks are functionally dysfunctional, and their chronic lateness is a reflection of the chaos and disorganization in every other facet of their existence. 3) Misanthropy. Blithely disregarding the consequences of one’s tardiness is a sign of disregard and contempt for others. They don’t matter. The worst thing responsible and considerate folks can do when interacting with discourteous latecomers is to say, “It’s OK.” It’s not OK. It’s a sign of something wrong. Exactly what we’re still decide

The King of Argos-Acrisius received a dreadful oracle. It has been said that no son shall be born to him but you shall have a grandson and by his hand you shall die. In fear of the oracle the King locked up his maiden daughter Danae in house of bronze all sunk underground but he forgot to take the gods into account. So when Zeus beheld the beautiful Danae looking up the sky he turned himself in a shower of gold and barged into her room. Not long after Danae bore a son which she hid from the King but the King eventually found out. In fear of the god’s wrath he threw both Danae and her child in a chest into the sea. Dictys found the chest which held both Danae and her child. When Perseus had grown into a fine young man, Danae’s beauty never changed so it wasn’t a shock that King Polydectes, the brother of Dictys fell in love with her. King Polydectes hated Perseus for the attention Danae was giving him so thought of sending the naiive Perseus to behead the gorgon Medusa for he knew it was an impossible task. Perseus as naiive as he can be played right into the cruel King’s plan. Perseus was successful in cutting off Medusa’s head on his way back he saw a beautiful maiden about to be sacrificed to the sea serpent, her name was Andromeda. Perseus used the gorgon’s head to defeat the sea serpent. He then took Andromeda as his wife. Next he killed Phineas the man who tried to steal his wife. After that he went back to King Polydectes to show that he had indeed slain Medusa. But the King taunted Perseus, so Perseus made the King into stone. Not long after Perseus, his mother and wife sailed back to Argos for Danae had missed her father. When they arrived the King was not around and at the same time he heard that there were games being held so he want there and joined. When it was his turn to throw the discus, it swayed and killed an old man in the audiences, it was King Acrisius. -The values in this story is that we should be brave enough to face the challenges in our life. Goodness will always win and the evil will always be vanquished.

Peter Kasimsiman was once a submissive son to his parents. But losing his mother at a tender age, left him with an abusive father who only knew of tending to his carriage horse, Brown Beauty. Peter is eager to win the love and attention of his indifferent Tatay. But an unfortunate incident forces him to run away from home. His horrible life starts to change its course when he meets the nurturing haciendera Helena who provides him shelter and unconditional affection he knew his father would never be able to give. Helena teaches Peter love and kindness, grooming him as the sole heir to the hacienda in the event of her death. Albeit fueled with the guidance of the good-natured foster mother, who's known for her passionate concern for her employees, Peter has an intolerable bad temper especially towards her mother's loyal servant, Maita and the latter's beautiful and gifted daughter, Samantha. Peter's almost perfect life is threatened as people from the hacienda adore the beauty and goodwill of Samantha. These include the estate's striking horse trainer, Erickson, the good-looking veterinarian, Dickson and even the trusted estate horse, Sylvester. Add the unwanted presence of his long-lost sister, Peter's life seemed like an everyday living hell. Little did Peter know that Diobayo, the Goddess of Horses, watches every move he makes as he grows oblivious to other people and the surrounding horses' needs. To teach Peter a painful lesson, Diobayo cursed him transforming him into the horse, Petra, whenever he acts surly and proud. Will Peter choose to continue his grumpy personality? Or will he be able to use his 'horse instinct' to change for the better

The experiences of individuals in a developmental life stage called adolescence are presented in this paper. The descriptions here of Filipino adolescent experiences are rooted in Philippine culture such as pagbabarkada (friendship formation) and panliligaw (romantic relationship). The presentation of themes is based on metaphors that illustrate indigenous thoughts on how individuals experience adolescence or paglalabintaunin in a given cultural context. Some of the ideas discussed in this paper about the Filipino adolescent pertain to personality and social development factors such as sexual and socio-emotional relationships. Evidences are derived from the researches conducted by some psychology students for their theses in order to complete the requirements for a baccalaureate degree in arts, major in psychology at De La Salle University. The selected studies are those written in Filipino and are about the experiences of Filipino teenagers, which attracted the interests of student-researchers.
