அப்படி நினைக்க வேண்டாம்

"that was because ye were wont to rejoice on the earth in things other than the truth, and that ye were wont to be insolent.
"இது, நீங்கள் பூமியில் நியாயமின்றிப் (பெருமையடித்து) மகிழ்ந்து பூரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தீர்களே (அதற்கான தண்டனையாகும்).

(muhammad), say, "ignorant ones, do you command me to worship things other than god
"அறிவிலிகளே! நான் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை வணங்க வேண்டுமென்று என்னை நீங்கள் ஏவுகிறீர்களா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

(some people) worship things other than god which harm nor benefit them. they say, "these (idols) are our intercessors before god." (muhammad), tell them, "are you trying to tell god about something that he does not find in the heavens or earth? god is too glorious to be considered equal to idols."
தங்களுக்கு (யாதொரு) நன்மையோ தீமையோ செய்ய இயலாத அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை (முஷ்ரிக்குகள்) வணங்குகிறார்கள்; இன்னும் அவர்கள், "இவை எங்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ்விடம் மன்றாட்டம் செய்பவை" என்றும் கூறுகிறார்கள்; அதற்கு நீர்; "வானங்களிலோ, பூமியிலோ அல்லாஹ் அறியாதவை (இருக்கின்றன என எண்ணிக் கொண்டு) நீங்கள் அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கின்றீர்களா? அவன் மிகவும் பரிசத்தமானவன். அவர்கள் இறைவைப்பவற்றை விட மிகவும் உயர்ந்தவன்" என்று கூறும்.
