(நபியே!) நீர் துன்பப்படுவதற்காக நாம் இந்த குர்ஆனை உம்மீது இறக்கவில்லை.

a book has been revealed to you, (muhammad). you should not hesitate to convey its warning and its good advice to the believers.
(நபியே!) இதன் மூலம் நீர் எச்சரிக்கை செய்வதற்காகவும் முஃமின்களுக்கு நல்லுபதேசமாகவும் உமக்கு அருளப்பட்ட வேதமாகும்(இது). எனவே இதனால் உமது உள்ளத்தில் எந்த தயக்கமும் ஏற்பட வேண்டாம்.

say: if allah had so willed i should not have recited it to you nor would he have made it known to you. i dwelt among you a whole lifetime before it (came to me). have ye then no sense?
"(இதை நான் உஙக்ளுக்கு ஓதிக் காட்டக்கூடாது என்று) அல்லாஹ் நாடியிருந்தால், இதனை நான் உங்களிடம் ஓதிக் காண்பித்திருக்க மாட்டேன்; மேலும் அதைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு அவன் அறிவித்திருக்கமாட்டான்; நிச்சயமாக நாம் இதற்கு முன்னர் உங்களிடையே நீண்ட காலம் வசித்திருக்கிறேன் - இதை நீங்கள் விளங்கிக் கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

we did not send down the book to you except [for the purpose] that you may clarify for them what they differ about, and as a guidance and mercy for a people who have faith.
(நபியே!) அன்றியும், அவர்கள் எ(வ் விஷயத்)தில் தர்க்கித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களோ அதை நீர் தெளிவாக்குவதற்காகவே உம் மீது இவ்வேதத்தை இறக்கினோம்; இன்னும், ஈமான் கொண்டுள்ள மக்களுக்கு (இது) நேரான வழியாகவும், ரஹ்மத்தாகவும் (அருளாகவும்) இருக்கிறது.

say (o muhammad saw): "if allah had so willed, i should not have recited it to you nor would he have made it known to you. verily, i have stayed amongst you a life time before this. have you then no sense?"
