“และเจ้า (มุฮัมมัด) จงรำลึกถึงพระเจ้าของเจ้าในใจของเจ้าด้วยความนอบน้อมและยำเกรงและโดยไม่ออกเสียงดัง ทั้งในเวลาเช้าและเย็นและจงอย่าอยู่ในหมู่ผู้ที่เผลเรอ

let the proud be ashamed; for they dealt perversely with me without a cause: but i will meditate in thy precepts.
ขอทรงให้คนโอหังได้รับความอาย เพราะว่าเขาได้คว่ำข้าพระองค์ด้วยความเท็จโดยไม่มีเหตุ แต่ข้าพระองค์จะรำพึงถึงข้อบังคับของพระองค

thine heart shall meditate terror. where is the scribe? where is the receiver? where is he that counted the towers?
จิตใจของเจ้าจะคิดถึงความสยดสยอง "เขาผู้ที่ทำการนับอยู่ที่ไหน เขาผู้ที่ชั่งบรรณาการอยู่ที่ไหน เขาผู้ที่นับหอคอยอยู่ที่ไหน

they hide themselves from men, but hide not themselves from god; for he is with them while they meditate at night discourse unpleasing to him; god encompasses the things they do.

and when we made the house (at makka) a resort for mankind and sanctuary, (saying): take as your place of worship the place where abraham stood (to pray). and we imposed a duty upon abraham and ishmael, (saying): purify my house for those who go around and those who meditate therein and those who bow down and prostrate themselves (in worship).
และจงรำลึกถึงขณะที่เราได้ให้บ้านหลังนั้นเป็นที่กลับมาสำหรับมนุษย์และเป็นที่ปลอดภัยและพวกเจ้าจงยึดเอาเป็นที่ยืนของอิบรอฮีม เป็นที่ละหมาดเถิด และเราได้สั่งเสียแก่อิบรอฮีม และอิสมาอีลว่า เจ้าทั้งสองจงทำความสะอาดบ้านของข้าเพื่อบรรดาผู้ทำการเฎาะวาฟ และบรรดาผู้ทำการเอียะติกาฟ และบรรดาผู้ที่ทำรุกัวะและสุยูด
