christine chapman : do you agree that , since 1997 , labour has transformed the economy of wales by increasing employment , economic activity and delivering better jobs , and reversing a tory legacy that sought to sell out wales as a low-wage economy ? do you also agree that , in more deprived areas , public sector employers provide a model of terms , conditions and equalities and that a move to regionalise pay would leave depressed areas vulnerable to arguments for lower market rates , which would have a detrimental effect on local economies ? will you give an assurance that you will make these points to the westminster government ?
