(சத்தியத்தை நிராகரிப்போரே! உங்களுக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்தது? (இரு சாராரும் சமமென) எவ்வாறு நீங்கள் தீர்ப்புச் செய்கிறீர்கள்?

this which we recite to you is a revelation and a wise reminder.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது ஓதிக்காட்டிய இவை (நற்சான்றுகளைக் கொண்ட) இறை வசனங்களாகவும்;, ஞானம் நிரம்பிய நற்செய்தியாகவும் இருக்கின்றன.

this (which) we recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder.
(நபியே!) நாம் உம் மீது ஓதிக்காட்டிய இவை (நற்சான்றுகளைக் கொண்ட) இறை வசனங்களாகவும்;, ஞானம் நிரம்பிய நற்செய்தியாகவும் இருக்கின்றன.

they said, ‘do not be afraid. indeed we give you the good news of a wise son.’
அதற்கு அவர்கள், "பயப்படாதீர்! நாம் உமக்கு மிக்க ஞானமுள்ள ஒரு மகனைப் பற்றி நன்மாராயம் கூறு(வதற்காகவே வந்திருக்)கின்றோம்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

then he felt a fear of them. they said, ‘do not be afraid!’ and they gave him the good news of a wise son.
(அவர்கள் அதைப் புசிக்காததால்,) அவருக்கு இவர்களைப் பற்றி உள்ளூர ஓர் அச்சம் ஏற்படடது, "(இதனை அறிந்த) அவர்கள், பயப்படாதீர்!" எனக் கூறினார்; அன்றியும், அவருக்கு அறிவு மிக்க புதல்வர் (பிறப்பார்) என்று நன்மாராயங் கூறினர்.

he felt afraid of them; but they said: "have no fear," and gave him the good news of a wise son.
(அவர்கள் அதைப் புசிக்காததால்,) அவருக்கு இவர்களைப் பற்றி உள்ளூர ஓர் அச்சம் ஏற்படடது, "(இதனை அறிந்த) அவர்கள், பயப்படாதீர்!" எனக் கூறினார்; அன்றியும், அவருக்கு அறிவு மிக்க புதல்வர் (பிறப்பார்) என்று நன்மாராயங் கூறினர்.

so if you confront them in battle, treat them [in such a wise] as to disperse those who are behind them, so that they may take admonition.
எனவே போரில் நீர் அவர்கள்மீது வாய்ப்பைப் பெற்று விட்டால், அவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால் உள்ளவர்களும் பயந்தோடும்படி சிதறடித்து விடுவீராக - இதனால் அவர்கள் நல்லறிவு பெறட்டும்.

ask: "is there one among those you associate with god who can show the way to the truth?" say: "it is god who shows the way to truth." then who is more worthy of being followed -- he who guides to the truth, or he who cannot find the path until shown the way? what has happened to you that you judge in such a wise?
உங்களால் இணையாக்கப்பட்டவர்களில் சத்தியத்தின் பால் வழிகாட்டுபவன் உண்டா? என்று கேட்பீராக் அல்லாஹ்தான் சத்தியத்திற்கு வழிகாட்டுகிறான் என்று கூறுவீராக. சத்தியத்திற்கு வழிகாட்டுபவன் பின்பற்றப்படதக்கவனா? வழிகாட்டப்பட்டாலேயன்றி நேர்வழியடைய மாட்டானே அவன் பின்பற்றத் தக்கவனா? உங்களுக்கு என்ன நேர்ந்து விட்டது? எவ்வாறு தீர்ப்பளிக்கிறீர்கள்.
