toe het die oudstes van moab en die oudstes van mídian gegaan met waarsêersloon by hulle en by bíleam gekom en hom die woorde van balak meegedeel.

daar mag niemand by jou gevind word wat sy seun of sy dogter deur die vuur laat deurgaan--wat met waarsêery, goëlery of met verklaring van voortekens of towery omgaan nie,

surely there is no enchantment against jacob, neither is there any divination against israel: according to this time it shall be said of jacob and of israel, what hath god wrought!
want daar is geen towery teen jakob of waarsêery teen israel nie. nou sal van jakob en van israel gesê word wat god gedoen het.

for the king of babylon stood at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination: he made his arrows bright, he consulted with images, he looked in the liver.
