we then calculated ; so how excellently do we control !
መጣኞች ነን !

and we made the earth a base , so how well do we lay out !
ምድርንም ዘረጋናት ፡ ፡ ምን ያማርንም ዘርጊዎች ( ነን ! )

then said they unto him, what shall we do, that we might work the works of god?
እንግዲህ። የእግዚአብሔርን ሥራ እንድንሠራ ምን እናድርግ? አሉት።

we shall inflict retribution on them , whether we take you away from the world ( before we do that ) ,
አንተንም ( ቅጣታቸውን ስታይ ) ብንወስድህ እኛ ከእነርሱ ተበቃዮች ነን ፡ ፡

saying : “ are we to follow a single mortal , one from among ourselves ? if we do that , we shall surely be in error and folly .
« ከእኛ የኾነን አንድን ሰው እንከተለዋለን ? እኛ ያን ጊዜ በስህተትና በዕብደት ውስጥ ነን » አሉ ፡ ፡

but the elite of the faithless from among his people said , ‘ we do not see you to be anything but a human being like ourselves , and we do not see anyone following you except those who are simpleminded riffraff from our midst . nor do we see that you have any merit over us .
ከሕዝቦቹም እነዚያ የካዱት መሪዎቹ ብጤያችን ሰው ሆነህ እንጂ አናይህም ፡ ፡ እነዚያም እነሱ ሐሳበ ጥሬዎች የሆኑት ወራዶቻችን እንጂ ሌላ ተከትሎህ አናይህም ፡ ፡ ለእናንተም በእኛ ላይ ምንም ብልጫን አናይም ፡ ፡ ከቶውንም ውሸታሞች መሆናችሁን እንጠረጥራችኋለን አሉ ፡ ፡

say : we believe in allah and ( in ) that which had been revealed to us , and ( in ) that which was revealed to ibrahim and ismail and ishaq and yaqoub and the tribes , and ( in ) that which was given to musa and isa , and ( in ) that which was given to the prophets from their lord , we do not make any distinction between any of them , and to him do we submit .
« በአላህና ወደኛ በተወረደው ( ቁርኣን ) ወደ ኢብራሂምም ወደ ኢስማዒልና ወደ ኢስሐቅም ወደ ያዕቁብና ወደ ነገዶቹም በተወረደው በዚያም ሙሳና ዒሳ በተሰጡት በዚያም ነቢያት ሁሉ ከጌታቸው በተሰጡት ከነርሱ በአንድም መካከል የማንለይ ስንኾን አመንን ፤ እኛም ለርሱ ( ለአላህ ) ታዛዦች ነን » በሉ ፡ ፡
